My LCS didn’t even out a single copy. So I’ll have to expand my search radius or go online. I don’t expect this to attract immediate attention.
I’m sure ZT will be on the cover of the 2nd print as well.

I also only got the sketch covers put on my order from TFAW. Wonder if anyone got the color variants?
I was able to get one of the color variants but no sketch. My LCS still had one color variant when I left.
How can Spawn have good cover art/artists, card stock covers, and high quality interior paper while charging $2.99? Marvel has terrible paper stock most of the time and is $4.99.
I almost want to start collecting Spawn books just to support what they are doing.

Liefeld, Sean Gordon Murphy, Yanique Paquette and at least one other artist have been crapping on Marvel lately regarding their pay (not Liefeld on the pay subject). One artist says he’s been with Marvel for 10 years and can’t get more than $75/pg. combine that with crappy paper stock and you’ve got Marvel squeezing every penny of profit out of comics that they can. They don’t even want to make comics anymore, it’s just an IP farm for the movie studio.

Dustin Nguyen is the other guy and he went ham on IG about it. Are we surprised? Liefeld literally left and started Image w/ 5 other guys b/c of this.

It really seems like Marvel is doing the absolute minimum to stay viable. I read a lot of comics, and (opinion alert) I find 99% of Marvel utterly unreadable nonsense. All they have right now is retreads and mashups of characters. This new Avengers Academy series coming out this year specifically calls out that Kid Juggernaut is the big draw. Who the hell cares about Kid Juggernaut?!
Sorry. Rant over. It’s all good. Buy what you like. For me, my pull list is 100% Image, DC and other indies. I’ve stopped trying to read new Marvel.

I am reading everything Energon right though, it is pretty great. The art and the writing has been pretty incredible in my opinion of course.

Devastator and Bruticus falling in the reflection… the whole reason I even read comic books is finding gems like that. Marvel be better.

Rook Exodus might be the highest quality book out there today. The paper quality, colors, art are just A+. I’ve only read issues 1-2 so far, but it’s really intriguing.
