Anyone know how to remove those? I have comics from December that are still floating around that are just taking up space; they will never be filled, and it would be nice to not have to keep being reminded that I missed out.
Is it really? It can be added to the weekly emails about new books. āThes books are delayed, damaged, shorts etcā itās not impossible. Unknowncomics has emailed me about delays date pushback etc.
I was being a little sarcastic.
You canāt unless they remove it.
Lmao painful right.
I know we used to do a clean up of pre-order stuff that Diamond wouldnāt be able to get us more copies of a few times a year, but that may have been done by the former CS person who left. Iāll have to ask about it.
I assume that Overstreet PG is DOA?
I had ordered and mine is also thereā¦ laying quite idle.
That would be appreciated Brendon. Thanks for listening to the whining!
Iām pretty sure TFAW does a hundred times more business than Unknown does as wellā¦
Iād say they should just auto default to perhaps 6 months. If its not in stock by then, it will auto drop from youāre pre-order with a generic email sent out stating āthat the item has been out of stock or back-ordered for over 6 months, it will likely never get fulfilled. If you like to add it to your watch/wish list, click hereā
I would guess TFAW has data on when they get replacement copies (assuming they ever doā¦ Iām 0 for 8). But, if replacements typically show in the first 6 weeks after initial release, then they should prune those unfulfilled at 2 months.
It seems that this only happens with damaged books and allocations. TFAW is really good at inventory management. If I order a book, even after FOC, I ALWAYS get that book unless itās been damaged or allocated. TFAW never sells inventory they donāt order, like many other shops do (Westfield, for example). You order after FOC from them, you never know what youāll get. TFAW always delivers there.
The way I look at it is this, is it annoying to see a book on your pre-orders list? Yes. Is it annoying that it may never get fulfilled? Yes.
But at least you havenāt been charged for it. Most shops will charge you and hold youāre money until you ask to cancel after youāve noticed you still havenāt gotten your books that might of gotten damaged, etc.
Yeah that would be good.
Oh, I love that about TFAW; not bashing at all. I appreciate being able to pay when they ship, not buy stuff two months before it comes out, trying to remember what I ordered.
Iām on the fence with that. Iād rather pay up front for books. Rarely have I been shorted a book I paid for because Iām mostly always ordering way before FOC where as with Tfaw I feel I get lulled in to the oh I have that book preordered before FOC or itās not sold out yet and then I dont get it. It works both ways but so far the Preorders Iāve done with Midtown last year and Unknowncomics have all been successful with pre-paying only damages and date pushback have altered that. Tfaw has been good as well just lately itās been an adding list of Iāve ordered this book before/after FOC so it must be available and then itās not. But I do know happens so I dont blame them
I havenāt looked but Iām 100% positive they are. I mean they announced AHEAD OF FOC they would limit it to 10,000 copies total. Then everyone and their mom went out to order it in hopes theyād get it, and stores put in crazy numbers like 50,000 prior to FOC to try to get their allocated number higher. Itās a huge mathematical mess.
This becomes a nightmare though down the road Iād imagine in sticky situations. Imagine if you bought something and it took say, over 6 months for them to deliver or not deliver. Now you want to dispute itā¦ Good luck, you paid for it beyond the dispute period that most credit card companies allow. Youāll be the one that gets screwed more than likelyā¦
Iām just holding out hopeā¦these unfulfilled pre-orders is all I haveā¦
Really? Because I just had them remove a bunch of stuff going back to September 2020 that they never sent me.
