New Variant Ratios on TFAW

at least you dont have to pay taxes

Seems like they are over selling their expected supply. Some stuff we don’t know anything spec wise pre Foc. I might as well order somewhere else if this keeps happening.

And gets a $3 discount… I want a $3 discount

Dang, and I thought my orders were big…you win sir, you win!

That’s insane. People don’t buy elsewhere cause they are expecting a book from them and then you totally miss out when they don’t send stuff.

As Larry David would say, ā€œthat’s BIG. HUGE! HUUUUUUUUUGE!ā€

I don’t mind it as much if it’s for books ordered post-FOC. I completely understand their reasoning and I suppose it’s fair game to me.

Just gotta get those orders in pre-FOC. I’ve yet to be shorted on any books ordered from TFAW pre-FOC.

I hear you. But it’s like throwing darts at a board ordering everything that early. Plus, now we have all these exclusives being added after Foc, ruining our pre orders.

Back in stock alert for anyone who missed out…
Star Wars: War of the Bounty Hunters Alpha #1 (Black Armor Variant)

Punchline and Vaude Villains #1 (Cover C - Messias 5 Copy Free In)

Eden One Shot (10 Copy Tony Harris Variant)

We never over sell orders. What’s more likely is the shipment comes in with damages or shortages. At which point there’s more orders than copies.

The system we currently have (after lots of trial and error to figure out what’s fair) goes

  1. 1 copy to every pre-FOC order (in order)
  2. Fill every pre-FOC order (in order)
  3. 1 to every post-FOC order (in order)
  4. Fill every post-FOC order (in order)

What we didn’t account for was that damages and shortages would grow more and more… To the point where just about every weekly release has some or the other now. So we may reexamine it. But I still feel like it’s the best possible combination to be fair to everyone (so one person pre ordering 500 copies of something doesn’t totally kill every one’s chance to read it).

Venom #35 (200th Issue JS Campbell Variant)

Since this seems to be the most popular TFAW thread here…

We’re doing our annual customer survey to help figure out what to change, keep doing, etc. If you’re a customer and fill it out, it will help us plan for the future updates. Everyone who fills it out (and is 18+ and lives in the US or Canada) will also be entered into a random drawing to win $500 in gift cards.

Well, at least you don’t just ship out damaged copies like some shops…
