200k seems low. I was thinking at least 250k. Still, there better be a quality 1st app for the 1:25’s to do anything.
Jorge Jimenez posted on Twitter this morning that it sold over 200K - so 250 isn’t necessarily out of bounds.
But it was a hell of a lot when you consider Comichron estimates for #100 were only 150-180k over all covers and that was a “milestone” issue
Hard to see molly overcoming those numbers, especially the regular covers.

I like the 1:25 long term if found for a good price. The rest seem destined to be cover price for quite a while.

I’ve been collecting the run of those 1:25’s - at least it hasn’t been too hard to keep up with all the high printings. (shrug)

I’m really not liking that Out of Body Adlard cover… gonna have a hard time selling a book at any premium when the Regular Cover kicks its ass left right, up and down every single day of the week.

Agreed. If i were a retailer that cover wouldn’t entice me to order extra copies.
Well, as a retailer, I wouldn’t chase ratios anyways. If I got enough pre-orders and with shelf copies (enough of what I think I can sell with random walk-in customers) to qualify, then bonus for me. But I definitely wouldn’t price hike that one. I buy at wholesale, I can sell it at cover to make profit.

We need a new ongoing Punisher War Journal series. Make it dark and gritty… Maybe persuade Jim Lee to do some variant covers…

I ordered 5 copies of dept of truth 5th print from tfaw. Does that mean I’ll get one of the secret variants? Any other retailer would probably pull them.
You may, you may not. Secret variants are total luck of the draw. They’re received into the same longboxes as the regular cover, so it’s just a matter of what comes out when they pull the copies.
