They have three this week.
They are also destroying some of their print runs on books still in stock to lower the total print run on some books
they have 3 exclusives dropping this week, cant ship regular orders correctly lets add more to the work load
Lol. but these are books in the future.
have they said what books are being destroyed nd the amounts?
Iām still waiting on a resolution for damaged books and missing books on my last order that was shipped late
This explains why I could not get in to the site for simple stuff after lunch.
my jabba says in process
What?
Really ? Damn mine said in process a week ago and then went to 0 .
Most stores that sell exclusives list print runs like this: 500 copies, but then they only sell 400 to make sure they have enough to cover damages. Then, if only 30 are damaged, they might list those remaining 70 again or sell them at a con or in a mystery box or something.
TFAW does it differently. In this case, they order 500 copies, but only list that 400 exist. Then if 30 have damages, they send those out, then destroy the remaining 70 copies.
@RipCityGamer, thatās how I remember you explaining it. If Iām off on that, please correct me!
So is it like āhey, you didnāt want it when it was 3000 copiesā¦how about If we destroy half so itās now 1500 copies? Will you buy it now?! Huh, would ya, huh?!
they should just mark them down to .99, also if tfaw let you add instock books to preorder shipments it would move them as well
Or just donate themā¦ why the need to destroy? I donāt get thisā¦ nor do I support it.
Cause people wonāt want it if they know thereās more copies out there. Marvel and DC have too high of a minimum.
Not sure what TFAW does, but what some other stores with exclusives do is they tear off the covers and donate them to schools or libraries. Other times they include one of these with each exclusive bought so youād get a āreadingā copy.
Im honestly so frustrated with TFAW over this. My Jabba Coello also went from processing to 0. I even changed my shipping preferences a few months ago when I realized orders placed after mine were getting fulfilled quicker because of my once a month shipping preferences. Incredibly frustrating. And no communication about any of it. So the issue is - if I cant guarantee that I get what I place an order for - should I just go somewhere else, pay a little more and KNOW that I am getting the book?
Who wants a comic with no cover?! TFAW should put a big old stamp or sticker on the back cover, effectively killing the value of the book, but keeping it intact for kids.
If they canāt sell them now, that already tells us nobody wants them. So the people who bought already got theirs so destroying them is pointless. Just donate the books I say.
