IMO, its a spec book BUT not a $90 book. I’m basing my opinion on a crowded Spider-type field, better candidates available for development, not enough backstory, and not much that has been pushed. Also. while first cover, not first appearance. So more a $15 - 30 book.
Nah that book has 4 digit potential if/when she gets her own series. The Asian spiders will have their own team and all that soon.

Still waiting for something with a ‘foreign’ bent - Indian-Spider-man, Agents of Atlas, Winter Guard, etc. to pop. Shang-Chi and Black Widow were close but were Western-oriented. Maybe this character will appeal to the manga fans, or maybe needs to be timed with any push, etc. The character also seems like the SpDR character in Spider-verse. My two cents ! Not an expert speccer !

Yes she already has a built in following as a Anime girl.
Also only saw two Store exclusives for this maybe there’s more. Those exclusives are horrendous art of Black Cat or Peter so the retailers took on these horrible covers they won’t sell just to get the 1:100s.

Agree, but so does Spider-Gwen (Ghost-spider); spec -worthy but not Miles caliber. Not arguing, still bow to your spec experience.

I was curious about the pics Alana posted - the first one looks great, wanted to know if its interior art or cover art for an upcoming book.
Fan art. There will be a book with Supidaman, Peni, and Sakura one day maybe even a cartoon movie. But yes $90 is a large investment in the unknown.
