Swimming is no more dangerous than riding a bike, if you have the skill. Snappers may get your weiner in the water, but, bears and lions can get you on your bike.
You’re more likely to die in daily activities than most other things. Hell, I think you got a 1:100 chance of choking on your lunch today and dying according to most statistics.
Very interesting info.
This is sad. Marvel could make truckloads of profit and still be more upstanding for these creators.
Those in charge at Marvel/Disney could care less about anyone but themselves. They are looking down the line to what will pay them the biggest bonus money…Which adds up to the millions if not tens of millions each year depending on their position.
It’s the American way when it comes to capitalism and shareholders calling the shots.
True, but hoping the shareholders are starting to see cracks in Disney leadership.
They’ll just get another moron to lead the way…
You know how most CEO’s and people get to the top in big companies? Shit floats, that’s how!
Disney CEO should have been fired with the way he handled scarjo situation
They should all be fired. Corporations should be run as co-operatives… where everyone that works there has a voice on decision making.
That is absolutely absurd. Then you would have all kinds of people with all different training in all different fields making financial and business decisions. The people at the top are there for one reason, to run the business. They have been placed there because the board of directors of the corporation trust their judgement and business acumen. Everything by everyone doesn’t work in business, someone has to have final say
You should read more about co-operatives, they actually work out pretty well. I work in one as a contractor.
It’s a little more complex than that. Go read about co-operatives and how they actually work!
I was a member of a co-op grocery store when I lived in Upstate NY. Had good prices. That’s about all I know about cooperatives though. If it gets me cheaper produce I’m all for it.
Yeah, that’s a bit different when it comes to retailers as co-operatives. REI is a co-op as well but those are usually structured differently.
That feeling when you get an general alert from you financial institution indicating that one of your “routine payments” is significantly higher than the average!
Here’s to you Things from another world! Must have been all the Mandalorian variants I’m thinking. Haven’t even looked at the order yet.
It would behoove the person(s) making the final decision if they listened to, and considered, the insights of their colleagues, and consumers, before they make that decision.
Consider and listen to advise, sure, but I don’t think that’s what we are talking about. CEO’s have advisors, but the final word has to be from one person. Democracy doesn’t work in business.
But it could… cooperatives work, trust me, I work in one and it’s great.
I was referring to employees from all operations within the company, including the warehouse/factory workers, not a select few advisors. Anyways, O digress on this topic.
