Hold on, not trying to be a nitpicky arse here, but that should read Historic and Landmark Tenth PRINTING, not issue. Still just as terrible however.
I don’t understand how these books are selling this well, and I’m a bigger fan than most people are of the property. Sure, they are good, but 10 printings?? The last people on earth will be using these things to stay warm for generations at this rate.
My LCS actually explained when I asked this exact thing to them. For them, they strive to make sure they have large runs available of whatever the best selling series is. They don’t care if its 3rd printing or 12th printing, what they care about is that they have #1 to #20 (if they could) all lined up in the display. From what they say, people will more often buy multiple issues in a run if they are all lined up. They always try to keep runs intact. I’m guessing this is why it goes to 10th printing, others are doing the same thing and when each printing is gone from distributor time for the next printing. I suspect the average guy that walks in couldn’t tell the difference between 1st printing of Ultimate Spiderman with the 7th.
Seems unlikely, my nephew (11 yr) was over and trying to get a movie on the TV brought me the DVD because he couldn’t figure out how to load “movie disc” into the “movie disc machine”…
And yes my family knows what a board game is. We are old school. My 11yr old has a cassette player and lessons to Billy Idol and his vol. 1 of Gardians of the Galaxy.
Just curious, has anyone worked in the post office or understands the delivery of packages? I recently purchased something on ebay and realized the seller was in the town next to mine about 15 minutes away.
However the package took 7 days for me to receive and it was sent priority mail. For some reason the package was sent to two locations away from my address before it was delivered. any insights?
From my understanding having spoken with my mailman about this stuff and him being my friend, a lot of stuff goes through sorting centers or central locations and then over to the smaller post office and then out for delivery. So your package had to go to the central place, then the next, then you. It can’t just hop on over to the nearby person, even though that would make sense.
