Claremont did a good run in the early 2000s. Had Dark Beast. Zero spec value, though.
I would shoot for first team appearance and first American Captain Britain
Captain Britain #1 (1976) Make sure it has the mask.
Also, Foom #16 is first preview of Captain Britain.
Didn’t the Excalibur Special pre-date issue #1 by a few months? I am certainly not up to speed on Excalibur anything so I may be wrong.

Yes it was the first team appearance before Excalibur 1. When I first started getting into comics the Excalibur Special was a rather big key and on every wall in my LCSs. First appearances of X characters were hot back then. Nowadays you can find these in dollar bins.

“IF” the show rumors are true it won’t be in any dollar bins for long. I cashed out on most Captain Britain specs a while back when they first started talking about him in the MCU. I hope they follow through with it. It could be good.

I’m a big Image Comics fan. From a content perspective, I like more Image titles than Marvel and DC combined. It’s nice to see Image is finally putting out a preview catalog.
