good, drama queen hasnt done anything good in years
Hollywood execs treating people like garbage…I don’t believe it!!!
I wonder if he blocked Feige on social media?
This is awesome news! I like the fact that it’s going to be done by Legendary.
There are some tough early MTG comics/GN’s to look for. Path of the Planeswalker graphic novel is hard to find in high grade and there is also a sample chapter booklet for Path of the Planeswalker. I also like the “sealed with a card” MTG’s.
While I already have these, I did buy the CGC 9.8 Path of the Planeswalker Sample Chapters #nn that was on eBay today. Not sure how many of these are on the census but not an easy find.
EDIT: Thanks for posting that Kevin!
I don’t like Liefeld much and would agree he’s very dramatic, but I also feel like the way Disney/Marvel treats creators I’m not necessarily surprised and would believe him. It’s like the lesser of two evils.
Well…it is interesting that Marvel had no trouble apparently inviting and having Fabian Nicieza. come to the after party however. (per Fabian himself)
Perhaps being invited to events and such involves other factors and such. I mean…sure…all things being equal I would think that the creator of a character would be invited (as was Fabian Nicieza)…but maybe if your actions, behaviors, etc…warrant not being invited that is what happens.
Certainly none of us know…but just like in all other aspects of life…if you throw a party…you are not obligated to invite anyone…if you don’t like that person…they have offended you, act the fool at your parties, rub you the wrong way, grope your wife, etc, etc…you don’t send them an invite.
If that person is offended and wants to throw a tantrum over it…so be it. Perhaps do some self assessments as to why you weren’t invited??
Perhaps you did nothing wrong and the person throwing the party just doesn’t like you…it happens…suck it up.
I have plenty of folks in my life I wouldn’t invite to my parties…even if they think they are important.
He’ll be back probably… this sounds like the same 'ol story from the 90’s when he left Marvel to start Image.
Liefeld is just a credit hungry narcissist at best. Most know you created Deadpool while probably the rest of the world doesn’t give two shits, they just go and watch the movies.
Magic the Gathering: Shadow Mage #1 from 1995 is the first MTG comic book, apparently not that rare, likely has a typical 1990s print run.
If you believe the TV show/movie will feature the current crop of Planeswalkers then it all starts with Magic the Gathering: Chandra #1 and the best variant is the Star City Games variant. It was given out in a VIP package in MTG card tournaments but there are still some available on their web site:

Got plenty of those. Bought them when Netflix announced a MTG show with the Russos producing 6 years ago.
Great info Rasparthe!
Have (2) copies of the Star City exclusive that I bought at a much better price than their website or eBay. Going back through my notes, they’ve been at $49.99 for a really long time on the site.
I would assume that they start with Planeswalker’s, but, I’ve guessed wrong before.
I 100% do not want this to become political or kickooff any debate about gender but I want to report this as comics by this creator might see an uptick in interest/sales due to some news said creator has made public.
The writer known as Tony Isabella has come out as transgender and has expressed that she will prefer female gender pronouns and go in her personal life by Jenny. To avoid fan confusion, upcoming convention appearances for the year of 2025 will still be advertised as Tony Isabella, however.
Please, please, no comments about your views on gender, but please do comment if this gets you boosted sales of Black Lighting or Tigra comics. After all, any interesting news about a creator can result in more sales.
Hope it boosts.
I got a 9.8 Black Lightning signed by him some time ago at Big Apple con in NYC, i’ll be looking to ditch if there’s a spike
Not sure why there would be a spike in value due to this.
Here we go again…and again…
just shows how right liefeld is
