I only mentioned backer/backing board because I was trying to figure out what type of board he was originally referring to. If you really want to stir things up let’s have the whole glossy side vs dull side arguement.
No argument, glossy side faces the book. Why else would they make one side glossy?
I double bag so my books don’t touch the board. Boards scratch and “suck” the ink off modern books.
Newsprint I use egerber boards which don’t have a glossy side.
For the record, those Bruce Timm books via Flesk Publications are shipped impeccably. Fort Knox level so I’ll take the media mail all day long. Most secure comic shipping I’ve seen to be honest (for a single book).
It’s nice to know when someone ships comics well cause I’ve seen so many things shipped terribly…
I finally did it, I’m free! Posting my first Chu post running on Linux. Made the transition and now officially free from the shackles of Windows. I should’ve done this 35 years ago, wtf was I thinking? I’m finally liberated.
Congrats. What distro did you go with? I did it years ago and went with Ubuntu.
I’m starting with xfce, something that would run fast and lightweight. It seems like every time Windows did an update my PC would get more bloated and sluggish. All kinds of useless junk that they were trying to force onto me and AI taking over. Wanted something completely different from Windows and run it the way I want.
I’ll test some other distros later on but so far so good.
I went from Win10 to PopOS for gaming with an nvidia card and it’s pretty good. Some things still need to be configured, but everything I need works. I’ve used other distros for years on other computers, but they all sucked for gaming until now. I don’t see the need for Windows and the spyware anymore.
