When i was in Germany for business a few years ago, i noticed signs stating “Ausfahrt”.
After laughing hysterically, then literally fearing for my life in a taxi going 110 mph at 6 am arrival; i woke up next day alive and learned it was “exit”.
To this day i still giggle at ass fart

Interesting, so shops have already placed orders with Diamond for those books on May 26.

I feel like we spoke of this…how it seemed quite ambitious that they could FOC so many facsimiles of books you could find in dollar bins…in the same week no less.
Like people are going to throw money at them. Likely did not meet pre-order minimum goals.

It is indeed, out of control.
I don’t think I’ve ever subscribed to something that blasts out emails more than they do.
They make entirely impossible for anyone to subscribe because quite frankly, who wants that bullshit?
I’ve had to shut them off a couiple of times.

The Stand is just too complex of a book to ever effectively be adapted imo. Too many characters…too much back story narrative to the characters that were what made (imo) for one of the greatest novels ever written.
They tried 2x and failed…they were valid attempts I suppose.
I could see some folks arguing that “IT” was similar in scope & page count, but The Stand is still far more detailed. Even if they went with the 1st published abridged version I’m not seeing it.
Maybe they’ll attempt to capture the nuances via very lengthy series and such but then viewers will tune out. Readers thrive on details and descriptions…viewers of shows…not so much. Article says their plan is a “one of” film…??? So I feel like it will be an interpretation approach.
Guess we’ll see.
If I’m proved wrong I’ll be happy about it…the “walking dude”, trashcan man, M-O-O-N spells moon,…whew. If you haven’t read it…and you have any interest in good vs evil, apocalypse type stuff…check it out.

Diamond Comic Distrubtors is basically taking comics they were sent on consignment, planning to liquidate them dirt cheap, and keep all the money to pay outstanding bills–screwing over all the publishers who put stuff on consigment. Theft, in essence, but legally done due to loopholes.
