Hot day here in SoCal. So I decided to pick up my oldest from school and we all went to get some ice cream. There’s a comic book store in that little strip mall and went in after we ate our ice cream.
Got the new Venom issue, and went to check out to see if they had some back issues if Sonic. Found some and I should my youngest and told him “if they ask, these are for you.” He said “I already have a lot of those Sonic books.” I said “well, you’re a greedy kid and you want more.” Lol.
Then I show my oldest and he’s like, “I dont have these or these, ooh I like that cover, oh I want that one.” Lol so there goes my flips lol.

Hard to turn down a kid who actually wants the comic to read it. Thats what they’re for.
Someone has to sustain this hobby in the future!

A con in town this November has a nice list of creators coming together. Stegman and Mark Brooks are the two I’m most interested in. I’m not a huge autograph collector, but Brooks has so many good covers. These are the 5 I’d consider, but I’d probably just get one signed for the PC. I’m leaning Avengers, just because his signature on that would look awesome.
What would you pick?
For the PC, I’d pick Vader.

eBay global shipping is coming to Canada in Oct. Won’t change things too much for me as the majority of the time I won’t be using it but I guess it is useful for shipping to some countries that I don’t normally do like China or Australia for example. Will make it easier.
I don’t get it, I already have used eBay global shipping to send stuff to Canada.
EDIT: Oh, you mean you can ship stuff from Canada. That’s what I get for not clicking the link and commenting first.
This is in response to US getting rid of their de minimis exemption, which I am assuming that most Americans are not aware of, and comes into effect August 28. Since there currently was no duty paid by the US importer if it was under $800, Canada Post could ship very cheaply into the US, cheaper than even sending it within Canada. This was because there was no custom broker needed for the de minimis exemption shipments. Now that it has been eliminated for all Americans a broker is required in order to ship anything to the US. Prices to ship to the US are about to triple in price.
Ebay International shipping is coming now, since no one would use it before, Canada Post was a third of the price, but now it will be competitive with everyone else, including Canada Post, because of the extra customs and taxes being placed on shipments. Luckily Canada Post is still cheapest for anywhere else in the world.

You all see that Image tried to send shops a thank you variant for the Invisible Man 1 that was entirely blank, but accidentally sent them a printed version. Talk about ruining the punchline.

Kind of pissed me off that mine must have gotten pulled. I wanted the error copy. Lunar had mine listed on the packing list but it wasn’t in the box. They’re sending replacement Thank You copies next week.

If I were to choose, I think I’d go the White Clone one as, with the right color & placement…would be very cool.
I don’t know if you’ve even met R. Steham, but incredibly nice guy. From my area & I’ve been lucky to hang out with him after cons.
He has such a diverse an incredible amount of work that sometimes isn’t as well known other. Lots of choices there… obviously he gets faced with signing Venom & Knull mostly.but a ton of options.
