Yes
any guesses on the 2nd highest print run in 2025?
Guessing Battle Beast or Batman #158? It didn’t seem like the Amazing Spider-Man relaunch (yet again) sparked much excitement.
Absolute Batman #1 or Battle Beast #1? Or was Absolute last year?
Absolute Batman started last year around NYCC.
yes batman #158, 2nd highest print run.
Hope you’re doing better and have a speedy recovery
Thank you! I was able to leave the house today (first time since I came home on Friday) with my wife driving to drop the kiddos at school and pick up some Sonic for lunch. I walked to the car without too much trouble. Every day is an improvement.
Does anyone feel the obligation to “save” a particular book from a dollar bin every single time you see it? For me, it’s this one. If issue 1 is in a dollar bin, I’m taking it home. Not necessarily speccy, just because I love the story and this David Mack cover. This whole series just doesn’t belong in a dollar bin. So, I make sure it isn’t there long.
“It was a really fun show, with an unforgettable theme song that almost anyone in my age bracket can sing, still, to this day.”
- I’m guilty as charged.
Hahahaha William Katt, the literal inverse of comedian Katt Williams
I had a total crush on Connie Sellecca back in the day…
OMG. Do you have 392 of them? I was just at a garage sale that a big collector had to get rid of his dollar books. He must have had 25 copies still bagged.
There were a million of them. I see so many crappy copies.
I’ve been trying to get every version of that book, X-Force #1, all sealed, with different trading cards. For some reason, in my area, there is an unnaturally high number of Shatterstar ones, maybe the one no one wanted? The newsstand versions add some challenge!
A lot of the X-Force #1s around here are signed by Fabian Nicieza from back in the day when he appeared at a LCS. Great, except he signed the bag. No one actually opened the bag for him to sign the books.
In December 1975, Katt auditioned for the part of Luke Skywalker in 1977’s science fiction blockbuster Star Wars , and footage of his audition has been featured in many Star Wars documentaries. He was seriously considered for the role, which went to Mark Hamill
Did not know this.
Re-runs of TGAH would come on early Sunday afternoons after looney toons, along with Condor Man film on occasion …not as catchy a theme song though.
Oh, and Mega Force too. Loved that movie.
It’s the law that if you collect comics you have a random handful of X-Force 1 laying around.
