Odds and Ends

And Turok #1.

I was at a con where a dealer was selling Turok #1 for $25 (yes that one)

I’ve actually considered every time I come across a Turok #1 for $1 of picking it up to see how many I can accumulate

…and then putting them up for auction at $10 for the lot…seeing how many Turoks does it take before someone is willing to buy them for $10…just keep updating the listing as I accumulate them…

Kind of a social experiment…

The other thing I thought of is starting an online movement where everyone just starts buying up all the Turok #1s in hopes of creating a shortage…and thereby artificial demand such that the price (and value) starts to go up.

If I could just get all the comic you tube influencers on board to start pumping it…

I thought the same, but in a more destructive mode. Pick a book like X-Force 1. Start a movement to destroy them. You find it, you burn it. Suddenly, those that are left are a hot item.

But accumulate enough that you don’t burn that you can sell.

Fun series from a couple years back getting a video game, I had no idea it was getting adapted but maybe the gamers here did.

I had no idea. Hopefully it will move the needle and help sell books.

I play games some and hadn’t even heard either.

I know Phillies fans are a bit “aggressive”…but this goes over the top. Demanding the ball be take from a child because it landed closer to your seat? And interrupting Dad giving his son a hug after handing it to him…it was the kids birthday too.

Unbelievable.

Kudos to both the Marlins and Phillies organizations for making it right, though.

Thing I don’t get is the dad put up his fists like he was ready to get into a slap fight at first, weakest display of self defense ever

The kid is probably more traumatized by that than the karen lol

Well, first he was hugging his kid and she just completely surprised him…I mean, there was probably a self defense instinct, but it’s a grey haired woman…with glasses…so I can see how he would totally second guess himself on how to respond while that’s happening in that split moment…looked weird, but it was a very weird situation. I didn’t even notice it until you pointed it out.
