Saw these today at Target. Got some for my kids and myself.
I was at target today earlier myself.I only saw Sonic as the Flash and Shadow as Batman, but those were the two I like the most so I got them. Maybe want Tails as Cyborg if I can locate it easily.
I don’t like the idea of Swamp Thing killing children…seems out of character…
Oh boy…here we go!!! Or maybe not?
My wife’s name is Amy. And she loves the Wonder Woman character. So I’ll need to pick that up for her.
Lol. I just got Nuckles for myself and my oldest wanted one too and my youngest wanted Tails. So got those. And got the action figures as well. Left the rest. Was tempted lol.
Nah, she’s gonna show up expecting him to be the killer and then he’ll turn out he’s innocent and they’re gonna team up to take down the actual monster. Classic story motif where the two heroes fight then team up.
You probably nailed it. As I’m usually okay when story plots are regurgitated if the writing is top notch, I really find myself losing interest really fast with a lot of stories that start off the same as so many others did. One of the big ones I just don’t even bother with most of the time is the whole… "They wake up with no memory… no idea who they are… blah blah blah… " Been done and done how many times now? I’m so tired of that synopsis in story telling…
I just noticed eBay has automatic feedback when there are no issues with a transaction and the item is delivered. I think this is the first positive enhancement for sellers in a while.
Has everyone seen there feedback numbers increase?
Im curious what deals DC made to other publishers…
I honestly thought so many random crossovers must be a joke at first but it seems real. Strange but interesting.
probably not much, it give free publicity to smaller publishers by DC
Samantha the serial killer Teddy Bear vs Joker. Calling it now
363 days ago, I ordered Father Gaetano’s Puppet Catechism via Bad Hand Books. This is a Mike Mignola thing, that comes with a signed bookplate and was limited to a very small number of books (100?).
Well, 363 days later, still no book. Bad Hand signed some new distribution deal, and now I see Amazon has this book with a listed release date of 10/21/25. So, I guess that very limited print run is no longer a thing? I guess I’ll give it to after the 10/21 date, but it wouldn’t shock me if this arrives unsigned and no longer a very small print run.

Ditto… I, as well with 363 days ago.
That dude who runs this Bad Hand is a bit of a ■■■■■■■. I got into with him early on as he was spamming me with political nonsense the day after I purchased this book because I did not “uncheck” the subscription click box when I ordered the book. He gets testy too when I’ve asked about the status in the past. Once this ships, Bad Hand is no mas for me. I’ve had it with that dude and his foul mouthed B.S.
What do you guys think of this? Article says a lot of young readers have been drawn into the Absolute line, Energon universe and Ultimate line. I also think Mark Spears has a lot to do with it too.
I’d want to see publishers numbers to get the most accurate reports.
Encouraging, but 18% is a big increase that sounds almost too good to be true. And interesting in the face of higher and higher cover prices. I do hope at least the baseline is up across the board and can sustain, because we need younger readers if we want to see a comic biz still around in the next 10 years and beyond.
I think the huge increase in comic sales this year are legit. I have overheard my LCS chatter from customers coming in and putting the entire Ultimate and Absolute line on their pull list. Same with Transformers, there’s a reason why there’s 12 printings of each of the early issues.
Mark Spears 350k blind bags and Batman 500k blind bags are no joke. By comparison last year when Monsters was first released some of the open order covers had about a 2k print run. My own LCS didn’t order any and when I went to pick up issue 2 on NCBD they had 2 copies of the A cover and nothing else. This is the biggest shop in the city, there’s 0 chance they would’ve ordered any keenspot books had Monsters not blown up and people were asking for them.
The question is how does this translate to bringing in more readers into the hobby and create long-term fans. I believe it would have to be from good story telling. The gimmicks and fads will fade over time.
My LCS still doesn’t order any unless people ask them.
Talk about missed opportunities.
