Need recommendations for a cheap but reliable thermal printer, just printing black and white. Hoping this is an appropriate place to ask
I find what AI generates for descriptions laughable.
As far as simple/fast….I just have a flat white (or black) background with good lighting and take fast pictures with my phone. Back and front…and any defects keeping it less than NM.
I find similar items recently sold and “sell similar”. I’ll modify the listing title if I feel it’s missing key words or remove words are of no value or silly that may deter serious buyer (like L@@k) or that make it seem like I don’t comics (like Rare or never read). Looking at similar items also helps set a reasonable price.
But otherwise ai don’t over think it. I think you just have to try your own things and see what fits for you and what you have time for.
Stay away from the AI
I like the phone / computer combo. Writing out the boring stuff and just cut and paste it. Title also goes into the body.
Phone / computer combo for me here too. Draft out my listings on the laptop with all the info so all that’s left is to take the pics on the phone and list. I found creating a listing template saved me time since for me aside from the title and the pictures not much of the “product info” that eBay requires will change from comic to comic so with 90% prefilled I can get a listing drafted out in a minute or two. And the AI descriptions are laughable but obviously makes listing things quicker.
Football game of note today, apparently. I will watch for the fun advertisements.
Hit a small show today. Got some good books.
On side note I have a bunch of funkos, are they all worthless now?
I didnt know the market dropped for funkos.
I have some that were worth very little. Now, worth even less…
Ah so it goes. Same with comics I didn’t sell soon enough.
I have 200 or so. Would love to get rid of some. Maybe next flea market I do
No sales yet today, but two more D’ORC books sold yesterday bringing me up to 39 days
Funny because I got a bunch of low ball offers for the A cover and someone purchased it outright at $40.
Book is fire and hasn’t even made it to the lists yet.
My last two copies of cover A show up today as well as a blank variant. I’m up to 5 As and have got to start listing. Are you listing one at a time or putting them all up at once and watching them move?
I did them two at a time. I have one more coming, listed one yesterday. I didn’t throw them all up at once because I kept raising the prices (market adjustments)
Curious if anyone is holding any of these D’Orc books?
I still have the 3 I pre-ordered… not in a hurry to sell. If the price gets up a bit higher I might unload one.
I have 3 in hand and 2 more coming today. I haven’t listed any yet but plan to hold on to at least a couple.
@Anthony
I’m personally helping your streak!
Junkyard Joe! ![]()
Junkyard Joe is an interesting series. I love it
No incentive variants, yet every issue had like 4 variant covers.
The title really wasn’t all that known or popular at the time so the various covers weren’t plentiful.
I’ve had a bit of a time (although fun) getting ahold of every cover.
So…thanks for the assist. Also to @D-Rog as he helped me with a couple too!
Anthony’s streak is funny. I have a 9 day sales streak, and I’m like “OK. I’m sick of packing up books. Let’s take a day or two off here.”
