I rarely hold onto anything unless it’s for my own collection. If I have something to sell I’m gonna sell it as fast as I can lest the market fall apart on it.
I was a little underwhelmed with the actual story. The art is great, and it’s all very cohesive. Guess that happens when the same creative does the story, the cover, and the interior art. But, some of the story seemed a little scattered. Is Dorc a good guy? Bad guy? Not much character development, which is a bummer. But, not unusual for a new series.
I’m tempted to list my last remaining copy and tag out for the time being.
That was you?
Cool. Sold some Dorc’s after wards so up to 40 days.
It sold so fast I was wondering if I priced that Junkyard Joe too low
I threw some CHU stickers in there.
I’ve been in there a few times walking to Fenway. Small shop. I don’t think I’ve ever walked out with anything.
I recommend Comicazi just north if anyone is in the neighborhood and doesn’t mind a ride on the T.
Had some random books sell too. Turned out to be a good day.
Guy made an offer on an Assorted Crisis Events TPB. I accepted. His payment was blocked. I messaged him. He said “oh sorry I was trying to get issue 1 not the TPB”. I responded not at the price you offered for the TPB you won’t.
Looked at his Mercari feedback and he canceled a ton of purchases. Either trying to get stuff for free or regretting his purchases right away.
Either way dodged a bullet on that one.
I keep getting transaction failed and reach out to them and the buyers just ignore it don’t respond. I had one seller fix the payment issue, but I expect what you described is the case.
I was going to get a tpb at my lcs, but just didn’t see much a profit at 17 bucks and didn’t want to order from instocktrades.
Day 42 of sales started out with a best offer on a Brzrkr foil variant which I was happy to take but waited until after midnight to accept so it would count for today. Today has been slower. Listed some books last night most of which sold last night. But did end up selling an Absolute Wonder Woman 12 today for $14.99. Sold an 11 and 12 in 24 hours.
I feel like this streak may need an “asterisk” next to it…. ![]()
The other thing is what time zone does eBay record the sale in? Is it set to the users zone or PST (which I think is their standard).
Basically, if you go back to the sale, what day does it give you if it was still yesterday in PST?
Auctions are PST time, regardless of where it’s located.
OMG, here we go again with D-Rog’s obsession with timezones and such…
Sure but it counts where Anthony is located as well. If it ended at 10pm PST but Anthony’s time is 1am EST, it happened at Anthony’s 1am and whatever day that is… he’s counting on his actual day, not the buyers timezone since he’s not in that timezone.
Also, the sale isn’t “complete” until actual payment is made, that’s when the actual “sale” happens if you ask me… ![]()
Doesn’t matter. I made several more sales yesterday to cover my finagling the best offer.
Today is day 43. Listed some ACE and Dorc Blank last night. Nothing nails yet. Still a lot of time to go
Some transactions don’t clear for at least 24 hrs…
I don’t think you want to bring those factors into the argument…I don’t even know if you can pull that information from what EBay provided in its reports.
Whatever the case, we need a means of validating @Anthony’s claims…an independent review of the data.
The best means may be to review the data contained in Mercari and eBay’s seller reports…I think they provide a time stamp…that stamp is what I’d consider “official” whether it’s when the offer was accepted or payment cleared. And yes, you can use whatever world clock you live by, I don’t care.
I think a more impressive record would be how many straight days did @Anthony make a trip to the post office, as it’s his favorite thing to do…![]()

I’m just gonna take his word for it… cause honestly, bravo for him for selling shit and making profit, that’s all that really matters.
this streak is more impressive than dimaggios 56 game hit streak. keep it up anthony, you are a legend in my book.
It’s been dead today. Only 5.5 hours left.
Everyone blew their money on D’Orc.
