Odds and Ends

I looked at sales earlier and noticed they were leveling at $45. Which is what I sold my first copy for and I’m thinking I’m going to list my second copy.

Lowest BINs

I got an A and a B in today from Wednesday orders. Helps there are shops close by. Had an A I listed high to reduce today. I am good if they sell over the weekend. Keep the streak.

I’ve had 8 views on the hippo a and b. Then 11 on the a cover. 27 views and 2 likes on white sky. Been up since 11am.

I’ve been hearing more positive review on the Florida Hippo than White Sky.

Seems to be doing just as well, if not better.

Mine should be here tomorrow

No luck on mercari yet.

Sold within 11 minutes.

Nicee the bay?

Yes. I don’t typically post on Mercari unless a book sits on eBay a while.

Sold my White Sky 1 an and 1 b on Mercari at 12:30. So Day 51 is in the bag. Happy because my 1B hadn’t had a viewer on eBay. Adjusted my total available for A and took down my B listing off eBay. I don’t mind the delayed payments on Mercari. I like knowing I will have money in the future for later purchases.

If anyone used to take Economic in Comic’s advice, after his latest video, you should probably stop. He is a fool.

“I’m sitting on Absolute Batman #17s and Invincible Battle Beast #1. Why are these other books that I have zero copies blowing up??? MARKET MANIPULATION!”

The least self-aware and smart retailer posting on YouTube.

Hi guys I’m still here, just taking a little break from posting. Will always love comics and the forum so I’ll never be completely ever going away. Will be back shortly to post more regularly. All things are good, sales have been going through the roof (not as good as @Anthony obviously) thanks to some recent hot books but sales from some older stock has been moving as well. Was able to grab some copies of Hippos and White Sky to keep the train rolling.

I really love how the recent industry is trending where a lot of good books are driving interest and heat. Someone mentioned how this feels a lot like how it was in 2010s. I tend to agree. My plan forward is to pay a little more attention to FOC. Speculating is a part of the hobby that I really enjoy and I haven’t really been doing that the past year.

Thanks to people reaching out to me, I’ll be more active shortly. Cheers.

@SpicyWasabi we are family man. People miss you if you are gone too long.

I never really took his advice per se, but I listen just to get another perspective / opinion on FoC. Then verify or validate anything I hear and decide for myself. I learned years ago not to take what these people say at face value. But ya it’s FOMO not market manipulation, people have short term memories I guess.

He contradicts himself so much in this video. He wants everyone to FOC books so they don’t miss out (this is how he pays his bills). If books are FOC’ed by buyers and shops, there won’t be books to miss out on.

It’s a cycle and he’s always a step behind.

I tried watching him once years ago and couldn’t take him seriously with the hat and all the “sick” throw up emoji stuff.

Him and everyone that watches/listens to him are sitting on piles of them. Supply far outpaces demand…at least in the short term, but they don’t have patience.

The books heating up are books that were under ordered or not ordered enough based on the quality. It’s always been this way, and to pretend it’s market manipulation is laughable IMO.

I’m going with tax refunds as well as the chronic fomo.

I’ve had 28 separate orders in Feb. Most are for a single book, but a couple that were 5 or 10 books. That’s EASILY the most I’ve ever done in a month. I’m burning through mailers quickly though. Might need to re-up with Matt’s Baseball Supplies soon.

I have gone through 2 sets of 50 this month. I ordered more today. I can’t keep up. I have used all the ones I have received in the mail from shops too. crazy!!
