The Potomac may need it more….flush out that sewage.

Sending best wishes to y’all affected by the Nor’easter especially when all that starts to melt off and the slush and ice is left!

Oh and snow? What’s that? It’s going to be 88 degrees here on Wednesday in Central Texas… Maybe I should skip work and go paddle boarding in the river…

My backyard was already a potential mud slide before this storm. There are a lot of trees rooted in highly saturated ground….so was expecting a lot worse…though winds are supposed to die down soon.

I’ll take snow over flooding and drought any day of the week, 365 days of the year.

For sure. I actually like and love the snow. I get happy when it’s just freaking cloudy outside… get way too much sun here, makes me depressed!

Too much of anything will make you sick of it. If you like snow, move here, we crossed the 10ft of new snow this year about 3 weeks ago, it makes the news after it crosses the 300cm mark. Normally we get around 250cm or about 8ft per year. It looks like we are on track for 12 or 13 feet this year, but it has been an unusually snow-filled this winter.

As a Minnesotan, hearing that you are getting 24+" of snow is bonkers. We, of course, get a ton of snow. But, we don’t get 24" of snow at once. We’re at 51" of snow for the entire season so far, so to get half of that at once is wild.

Good luck to those dealing with it!

Seeing the snow hitting you all makes me feel bad whining how its cold in Missouri, but zero snow on the ground. Then, by Friday, it will be 70 degrees. Weirdest weather.

For those who care, the 2025 Overstreet Price Guide is set to finally release on the 26th. Yes, it is 2026 now, after it was delayed half a year, but I enjoy reading it! It isn’t exactly useful for sudden price changes due to a movie option or such, but it’s a fun book.

@davidbitterbaum it was 60 degrees here the day before the snow.

Providence RI got 37.9” of snow. Beating the previous Blizzard of ‘78 totals (28.6”).

I grew up in the snow belt east of the Great Lakes. Although I haven’t experienced this much snow in one storm since moving away 30 years ago, it was not unusual form me growing up…so I don’t mind it as long as I don’t lose power.

We lost power for about 10 minutes.

Rhode Islander here and that was one record we did not need to beat haha. Driveway still partially buried and plows haven’t come by so I have no street :+1:

Just to add insult to injury, I have a tooth that went numb on Sunday…then turned to pain on Monday…and local area starting to swell today…and my dentist is closed today because of the storm.

It’s a tooth that we’ve been watching as it’s been discolored/dying for a while… I’ve known it was going to need a root canal or be removed for some time now…a matter of when, not if. But it chose this storm to become an issue and give me grief.

Sold a trade paper back I picked up recently. I have been looking for TPB’s to sell. Really easy just scanning on eBay and seeing what is of value.

Day 55 is official.
