So bad.
Haven’t been to Torpedo but have always thought they were one of the biggest and most well run comic book shops. Kind of odd that they’re not ordering new comics anymore when it appears that most shops are doing well with new comic sales the past few years with the Ultimate line and Absolute universe. Even indie books are getting a resurgence. Wonder what happened.

It’s more like a mini museum than a well run comic shop. I’ve been a few times and it’s nothing special. I don’t even bother to stop in when I’m in the area.

Apparently, it’s not related to the Image comic title, which surely seems odd. Feels like IP theft on at least some level.

I heard the dudes that made the new beetle juice were doing ice cream man. I thought it got optioned a bit back. Shrugs
I couldn’t find any references that it was based off the comics either. Seems odd that they wouldn’t credit the comic series if they pulled from that and even more weird that they would just decide to do a movie with the same name and very similar plot outline and horror theme to the comics. Feels like blatant IP theft if you ask me.
They’re all ripping off the Clint Howard classic, I’d say!

Wouldn’t it have to be the creators of the comic though? Image only owns the publishing rights I would imagine, not the actual copyright or IP of the content itself.
