Odds and Ends

Yup, come to Central Texas. One reason I only work remote jobs is to not die out on the roads with all the idiots who yes, seem to play on their phones instead of actually driving. I’d rather drive with drunks on the road… as long as they’re not drunk and also on their phone!

It’s everywhere. They stopped having driver’s ed be part of the high school curriculum here a few years ago and I definitely think that’s a factor. Also no one seems to know or care if their headlights are on when they obviously should be.

should make phones not work while traveling between 10-100mph except for 911

What about passengers? Meh, ■■■■ it… if you got people in the car, put the phone down and have a normal conversation. I’m tired of smart phones… they’re just turning people into inconsiderate assholes nowadays anyways…

Nope it is everywhere now. There was an article recently by me that said a lot of driving schools are just pushing people through and not teaching them much. I drive a lot for work and people are either right up your butt giving you no room or super slow. I actually saw a digital sign on the highway that said if you are driving slow get over.

People on the road act like keyboard warriors… they think they’re protected or something… I’ve seen some of the nicest people in the world in person turn into asses when driving. I think most should be required to smoke a joint before driving, the roads would be much nicer and safer then…

Just the other day, could see the person in front of me at red light looking down, clearly on phone. Light turns green… I gave them until 4 mississippi before doing the light double tap courtesy honk to let them know… what do they do? Act like an idiot, turn left but then get all the way over into far right lane so they can let me catch up so they can roll their window down to give me the bird… sigh!

Seattle area people drive 10 under the limit and park themselves in the left lane. Been like that for 20+ years…

In SoCal, 80-90mph or move out of the fast lane. No blinkers, on your ass, and no headlights on. On Saturdays, more accidents teported then during the week.

I agree, some people need to smoke up and relax when they drive.

SoCal has gotten insane on the road. Literally the worst place in the US to drive.

In Saint Louis there is a radio station known as Joy 99FM. It’s like a Christian station, which is whatever, but the joke is that anyone with a Joy99FM sticker is always the worst driver for some reason. It’s a local thang, like Provel cheese.

For anyone not familiar with I35 from Dallas all the way down to San Antonio… if you wanna go faster, you get in the far right lane, especially during all the construction through Austin. The fast lane is actually the slowest lane most of the time.

Seems that way now. Fast lane is the slowest here too.

What’s the book to get there?

Spec Worthy? (releases this week NCBD)

It’s this guy’s first cover. He seems to do a lot of concept art.
