I just got back from Supergirl. It’s the first movie I’ve seen in a while where people didn’t wait until the end of the actual movie and just left early. It was lame. I never read the comic it was based off of so I can’t compare. Lobo is OK. I’d be interested in a Lobo movie but he wasn’t that mind blowing in this movie. Honestly, without him the movie really would have been more of a chore to sit through. Felt like I was watching a 1994 written and directed movie, and that is not a compliment on quality. DC really has a ways to go with their movie productions.
A different official Marvel one was solicited too. General heroes and such. Hm.
Yes, Lobo was great! Perfect Bisley version.

Planning on going to the movies this Wednesday as I’ve gone 5 times already to earn my next movie ticket for free but it’s a tossup between Supergirl and Disclosure Day, but I think me and the friend settled on Disclosure Day. My free ticket expires on July 4th and these are the only real good options to choose from this week except Toy Story 5 but I can wait for that on streaming, same with Supergirl. After this next visit, I also qualify for free popcorn each movie visit too… Heck yeah!!! Every 5 visits you get free movie at FlixBrewhouse… so if you got one in your area, it’s pretty sweet to sign up for the rewards. Just wish the free tickets lasted longer before expiring, got like 21 days to redeem. Was hoping to use for Odyssey…
Let us know how whatever ya see is!
Supergirl will be streaming quicker than you think.
Back in the day movies were in theaters and then it took like nine months for them to come to VHS. Now stuff’s on streaming in the span of a few weeks!
$120 million to market a $170 million production….and it failed to draw people to the theater.
I don’t know where all that money goes…but that sounds like an epic fail all on its own.
I’ve not seen the movie so I have no opinion on its quality yet haha…but it is a slightly head scratching decision to greenlight a $170 million movie for a character that had about 1 minute of screen time before her own film. I mean Krypto or Mr. Terrific would have been better choices if you were using Superman as a lead in to a solo film but I’m not a studio head so ![]()
A Mr. Terrific movie I would be going to see if made… he was great in Superman.
So…when is the next DC re-boot?
@agentpoyo
on Mr. Terrific.
His origin story is also deep and fantastic.
I routinely watch his clip from Superman when he kicks everyone’s a#$ out in the desert. It was so cool with his spheres.
That was the best scene out of the whole movie… and the song is from Noah and the Whale, great band… loved that song before it was even used in the movie. I guess when I heard it come on, I was like… “oh shit… this is gonna be great!”
Read the series a while back before I sold it on eBay, do remember it being a good read and seeing the adaptation potential in it.
What a disaster. Everyone involved in making this movie excluding Mily Alcock needs to be fired including Gunn.
