Serious question for sellers. When you purchase your ebay labels, do you buy them with the funds in your account and then get your draw, or do you pay for them out of your bank account and then get the full money in.
I switched from paying for them from my bank account to paying for them from my balance. Trying to figure out pros and cons.
I pay from my eBay balance unless I don’t have enough funds. I don’t want eBay meddling with my bank account more than is necessary. Less transactions also keeps bookkeeping a little more simple.
I only move earnings from eBay at the end of the month when I check in on how things are doing for the month.
Also pay from the balance here. Kills me to see the available funds slowly dwindle as I purchase labels lol but it is way more convenient than a bank transaction for every label.
I also buy postage from the balance just for the convenience.
Does it show on your monthly report as a line item deduction?
I Never looked at it that close.
I just don’t look at the number until the end of the month, when I do my numbers to see if I’m net gaining or loosing for what I spend on buying comics. Since in nearly every month it’s a gain, It hasn’t
I’ve already got enough things to track for monthly expenses from checking and credit cards, the though of micro-managing postage from eBay sales (especially when i typically sell quite a few items every month) is not appealing to me. Added burden, no foreseeable benefit.
I think i do a custom report at end of year when doing my taxes and it breaks out total ebay fees and shipping fees.
I just checked my eBay account. On your selling page there is the “performance” tab which has a drop down menu. If you pick “sales” and then select “this year” for the total, it will show “selling costs” as one of the metrics measured. Unfortunately, selling costs includes shipping paid for through eBay plus their fees. I don’t know how to further split the numbers to parse the two apart from the number they show.
I found it. Under the “payments” tab is a “reports” option. It breaks the expenses into eBay fees and shipping labels.

I saw a couple clips from one of his recent live streams and wow is Liefeld the definition of a tool these days. He always had an overinflated ego and that hasn’t changed either haha
OMG, I watched the first 15 seconds of that video and was annoyed… Nobody wants you to draw AB anyways, DC only wants artists who can draw feet and not the same stiff look that all your characters seem to be infected with…

I’m beginning to think he does it on purpose for the negative attention… i.e… any attention; even negative puts him in the spotlight and talked about. That age old “plan” that many use to catapult/retain theirselves as a topic of conversation.
I say this because met him at the HotFlips show; chatted with him… and he was completely fine.
So I’m thinking its all for show and headlines and attention.
In comparison to Wendy Pini, Carmine Infantino and Barry Windsor Smith, Liefeld was quite pleasant. The 3 aforementioned individuals were nasty curmudgeons person to person.
If he is doing it for show, it’s stupid. Just be nice… all the time. So tired of people acting like turds…
I was never into Elfquest but I’m surprised to hear she was a grouch.
I used to be a HUUUUUGE Liefeld fan. But once Deadpool was made into a film, that’s when his ego got the best of him. His art has also gotten more flat (nothing like his early stuff). His males and females look the same.
At SDCC, finally last year I got to meet him and yeah, you can tell that his ego is there.
I was hesitant to ask him for an autograph as I didn’t have the extra funds if he was going to charge. But no, he signed it for free.

I am wondering how doing it this way will affect taxes.
