Little sampling of things I’ve sold the last week or so; probably should’ve held the 8 Billion Genies but it had been listed quite a while and I doubled my buy-in on it so no complaints. Also sales have been great so far this month, don’t know if anyone from here has bought from me since I posted about my eBay store but if you did, thank you!

Ok. Let’s start one.
Please know I understand that comics are of no importance compared to lives, homes, etc, but I often wonder with some of the natural disasters, flooding like Indiana (that they say is like once in thousand years, how many collections, valuables like comics & toys are lost to them.
I just saw a post where someones magic the gathering collection was destroyed by water. Obviously being alive is what counts but I still felt so bad for him

You know, about three years ago I was in line to get Jim Shooter’s autograph at my LCS and he was saying the same thing to a guy a head of me getting an issue of Secret Wars signed. He said with fires and floods, etc. every year there are old issues that get destroyed in ruined collections, and things become more scarce.
I live in Indiana and the flooding is nuts. Thankfully, our neighborhood sits high and my collection is on our second floor. But because of all of this, i just finally got my collection insured about 3 weeks ago. I can’t take any chances!

Yeah, I got family and friends in and around Noblesville, lived there myself briefly back in the 90s.

Simple Flooding can happen any time, anywhere.
I’ve had my washing machine pump die and water everywhere. I’ve had my dishwasher leak as well as my refrigerator’s water dispenser and water rain down into the basement. I’ve had drain pipes back up and flood from my dishwasher. Things you don’t even think of until they’re happening.
Fortunately all of those happened when I was around and not on vacation. I can’t imagine what the damage would have done. Was able to catch them before too much water escaped…but still a PITA to stop and clean up the mess.
Obviously historical flooding is a whole separate magnitude of a situation. But beware even little things in your house are risk items to your collection. I keep all my books off the floor a good distance, and as far away from water sources from above.
My wife loves to start appliances and leave the house and I’m like “don’t ever do that…”. My warnings finally sunk in after some of our appliances have leaked and she saw how suddenly and fast the water intruded without any signs of warning.

I’m in Fishers, maybe 8 minutes from Noblesville.
With climate change, These “once in a lifetime” storms are happening a few times a year. Get those collections out the basement

I strive to have everything I care about stored at least table height. Not that tables can’t be compromised, but I definitely don’t want high value items on the floor. Just in case.

The Mavericks said they would give the finder premium lower level tickets for 32 years, a signed, game-worn Flagg rookie jersey and a postgame photo with the star.
The team will also send the fan to Boston to see the Mavericks play the Celtics — with round-trip airfare, hotel accommodations and tickets to the game included.
Dallas will also set up a private photo shoot with the Rookie of the Year trophy, the Larry O’Brien Trophy for their 2011 NBA championship and give the fan a VIP tour of the Mavs practice facility and a meet and greet with the players.
Lastly, the finder would get a “private basketball experience” for up to 10 guests at American Airlines Center.
Auction platform Alt began a “bounty auction”the day after the card was pulled, allowing interested buyers to submit bids for the card that become binding if the platform can consign the card.
As of Sunday afternoon, the bounty auction sits at $3.1 million after 12 bids.

Hey Dynamite, this title has been on FoC for over a month now. You keep pushing it I’m guessing because orders are low. Accept what pre-orders you have and move on to the next title nobody cares about.
