How are everyone’s sales? Mine slowed down last week and this week. Comic shop literally said to me that they noticed I have been spending less. I said yeah I need more to sell.
Ebbs and flows. Usually depends on if I hit up some shops or a convention/show and list new books. I’ve been pretty slow about listing new things this summer…I go in spurts, ans therefore my sales go in spurts.
I’ve been steady when I actually have a chance to sit and list a variety of (good) stuff. Doing fine for now.
Sales are real slow this week but month was great up until now. Haven’t listed much this month either.
July was noticeably slower, though I only have ~50-70 listings up at any given time. Sold a bunch last week all of a sudden. The stuff that reliably moves for me are books from the past 5 years, and mostly DC. My Marvel moderns are 95% sluggish to dead.
Sold my last Titan issue of Conan, then bought three more a couple weeks ago after saying I was giving up on Conan.

It’s been dead until last night, I sold 3 slabs. Nice to wake up to $1,000 in sales overnight.

I had some random Marvel sales last night.
A Ghost Rider variant and a Hulk Variant going out to two different people. Nice to sell through stuff that has been up for over a year.

lol. But I suppose if Bolt crashed at the end of his run they’d still give it to him…
Cars, trains and airplanes are machines, Usain Bolt was never fast and we should strip his record since we’ve had machines faster for much longer than he’s been alive…

Seeing robots that can run all fast makes me nervous because it is just a hop skip and jump from making them have an AI and giving them weaponry to attack humans and we’re in Robocop or Terminator territory. People say I’m paranoid but I point out we saw those videos of the, “Cute,” robot dogs that could walk on various terrain and handle being pushed or whatever and then some months later we learned they were being equipped with guns for…reasons. Our future is straight out of the dystopian Metal Gear Solid games.

The stories are real. And it is a real problem. But to keep making money, companies are going as fast as they can without regards to safeguards. Eventually, we are toast. The irony is, when we are all dead, what was the point of making all that money?

Just seeing all those robots lined up marching, and seeing the one doing offensive attacking moves against another robot just made me think it won’t be long before these are being used militarily.
