Sorry, can’t help…I find it really funny how I’m seeing an sudden onslaught about how terrible Musk is because he is wasting all of “his” money on Twitter when there are starving folks in the world he should be saving.
While I don’t disagree there are starving folks in the world…I’m not a big fan of telling folks what they should be doing with their money. I mean, none of us “need” comics…those funds could go to our local soup kitchens. Just an awful lot of stones being thrown from glass houses in the world right now. I’m not seeing the same criticisms aimed at any of the other rich elite of the world…just him? Just sort of makes me laugh how folks can pick and choose their pariahs of society.
No issue if people hate the guy…but to hate him because you feel it is his personal responsibility to use his own money to save the world seems odd to me.

Going thru prior posts the only time the word “should” is used is in your posts and there are 0 posts saying Musk should help others. Is there a post I am missing?
History has shown most people can only handle so much power before they use that power to cause suffering to others, only time will tell.
@Amustin My post wasn’t directed at anyone in these forums. Directed at the many posts I’ve seen about in my own private Idaho so to speak. Lots of memes, tweets (ironically), water cooler talk about it.
How terrible Elon Musk is and how he is wasting his money that could be used for helping others.
Again, no issue with disliking the guy. We all have our likes and dislikes. Hell, hate him cause you think he is unattractive if that’s your thing. My only issue is I don’t believe I have any right to tell someone how they should be spending their money or getting on a moral high horse when I can fully admit I haven’t used my life and resources to assist others in every way possible to the extent of sacrificing my own lifestyle that I’m thankful for.
Hope that diatribe made sense.

Again, I disliked Musk before it was cool. Not for any big reason relating to politics or philosophy. He just seems like a rude and unpleasant person I would not want to have a coffee with.

I can care less what the F Musk does, says, buys… If I passed him by on the street, he’s just another person who’s no better than everyone else I pass on the street. Likely wouldn’t even acknowledge him, I got more important things to worry or care about.
From what I’ve read, I probably wouldn’t like him either. I don’t like his work ethic. He might enjoy working 100+ hour weeks but I say a big FU to that nonsense…

Early Early Early on - I had found Twitter very valuable. Artists were on there and they’d do giveaways or they’d do original art commission lists for the (example) 1st 5 people to respond.
I purchased a number of incredible art commissions from well known artists in the industry.
Later on, many of those artists began making it their personal forum to air grievances. I began unfollowing a few. Then there were more. Then the artist commissions and/or information began to dwindle such that 49 of 50 tweets had zero to do with the reason I was following them in the 1st place.
They lost sight of the reason I’m following them is not to hear their grievances and the P word, but to be rewarded with the potential for 1st information and 1st to potentially be able to purchase something from them.
Ultimately that 49 of 50 became 50 of 50 and I just stopped looking and I barely follow any of the artists/writers anymore because I had just had it with their spewing.

Well, to be fair, Twitter was designed to be public text messages for all to read. I’m just not interested in reading everyone’s messages that are meant for a few select people…
