Ha. We could buy a studio.

Well f—k. My PayPal debit card has been hacked and my account wiped out. Trying to call the card company and they are closed. Wtf. Both my Bank of America cards were hit recently for $10,000 each and an easy call to BOA had them straightened out.

My wife had her credit card hacked yesterday.

My credit card company contacted me a few weeks ago with a suspicious charge they denied and asked me if I attempted it. Said no and got a new card a few days later.

Seems to be going around.

I called and they said dispute the charge through PayPal Resolution Center. Tried to do that and it said we can’t dispute those types of transactions…… WTF. I have been done with PayPal and this could be the straw to make me just close this freaking account out.

DC claiming they own Machine Man now. Interesting turn of events. DC Comics Have Told Marvel That They Own Machine Man

Ha. That is awesome but no way it will float. While the original property is owned by Warner Bros. No way any of the derivative characters created in the book would be considered part of the original property.

DC can have it back in 2076.

My sales continue to be high in the new year. Done more since Jan 1 than I think all of 4q 2023.

What have most of your sales been? Recent books, variants? Glad to hear you’re selling well!

Variants. I went on a quest to buy as many variants as I could for $1-$5 from different stores. Hitting two in particular. Like $1000’s of dollars worth of variants cheap. Put them on eBay and most sit. But built up a big enough inventory that stuff is moving.

Sold some Ursa Minor and TMNT IDW variants this weekend. Couple of rare X-Files books some big sales. Store exclusives and more.

Will say I certainly made my money back.

Great to hear that! I hope this trend continues so other sellers in our community can make more sales.

I would not have thought scraps of a page would hit $1000.

Maybe a complete page?

One has to wonder “where is the rest of it?” There has to be a story here. Unfortunately the seller offers none.

These days when a beat up but mostly complete copy of AF #15 will run a minimum of 18k, 1k is the most many collectors can come up with. But remeber…It’s CGC’d!!!

Rest assured - at least no one swapped out those scraps

Anthony: Do you have an eBay store or do you use the free listings that eBay gives?

Actually, this question about the eBay store is open to anyone. Does it make it easier for tax time?

I’ve been tempted SO many times to open one, I just don’t know if I want to do it.

I told you using the password of ‘password123’ wasn’t secure enough… :flushed:

But seriously, that sucks.

There’s a simple path.
Build drafts in your spare time and save them.
On the 1st check your messages and E-bay will generally give you an offering for a varying number of listings for the month for free.
Activate that many drafts setting them to end in the time allowed.
Once you have enough drafts built to cover the cost of a store, activate a store.
Once you fill that size store up continue building drafts until you have enough for the next size store.
You’ll most likely get placed on Managed Payments and as long as you’re using E-Bay shipping for the labels, all you have to do is add up 20 some deposits into your bank account to show your sales for the month. No shipping receipts to have to keep track of. Just simple math for the accountant to deal with. Income from E-Bay minus cost of goods minus expenses for operating like tape, boxes, etc…

I do not use a store but get so many free listings a month do not see the need to get one. The vacation settings is the only thing useful by getting a store. Well that and the stats.

In the past, when I was away on vacation or travel, I’d just bulk end all my listings and then when I returned, reactived them. I’m not paying eBay X amount per month just for that feature, despite how nice it is.
