which app are you using? I’ve used a scanner app before to adjust the frame but haven’t thought about using it to take higher res pics

‘Photoscan’ is the first one i found and downloaded. Also, Now my android phone has added scanner settings as well. Its in the advanced options when taking photos.

Does anyone else feel that the world just sucks any more?. Anywhere you go has crappy customer service. Things just don’t seem to be as good anywhere any more.

People suck even harder than before Covid.

UPS lost an $1800 price of pottery barn furniture we ordered. Have it marked as delivered with a shaker picture of it sitting at someone else’s door. I have been fighting with them all day because in their eyes it was delivered. Customer service is overseas now.

Took my son to the gym to drop him off. Except we can’t get to the gym because the road it is on has two SUV’s one in each side of the road, stopped with their blinkers on as the owners ran Into a store or restaurant. We had to sit there, a line of traffic built up, and wait for the owner of one of the vehicles to come out.

Ordered from a local restaurant, because if you don’t order online they often mess your order up. I spelled out the steps, this meal has no onions. This one has no broccoli. They disregarded everything. Had to take back two of the four meals because they were jacked. The manager said it’s because they were short staffed. They also had 0 customers in the place at the time.

This has all been since 5 PM tonight.

UPS are the biggest assholes to deal with.

We had a hot tub cover delivered last month…package was heavily damaged and the cover had a huge tear in it.

The box clearly had “refuse delivery if damaged” and the company said prior if we accepted it damaged there was nothing they would do for us.

So my wife refused to take it and argued with the delivery guy about it. “No, no, it’s fine!”

It says to refuse delivery if damaged on the box!!! It’s right there!!

Eventually he took it away and nearly 2 months later still waiting for a replacement.

Hot tub is all hooked up, but the electrical isn’t working for some reason. I think the electrician gave us a bad gfic breaker in the panel, but over a month later he still hasn’t come back to fix the issue despite multiple times reaching out to him. I could do it (if it’s just the breaker) but I paid him to do it and for the part!

I found the tv stand. Mind you an $1800 tv stand from pottery Barn. Thing is in a huge box and weighs 250-300 lbs in the box. It is also now soaking wet from the rain we had. I cannot move it by myself, the neighbor up the street who it was delivered to is an old guy. I do not have a dolly to move it as it is up the street. Even out of the box, I am not moving this behemoth. Contacted UPS and they will not get a driver out to pick it up and deliver it to my house. Its fine, I put a return request in with Pottery Barn and requested the pickup from the neighbor’s house. UPS will be out tomorrow to get it. Explained to pottery barn that the wood is wet from UPS leaving it at the wrong house and in the rain as the reason for the return. They are sending another one as a replacement. I requested signature confirmation on the delivery. FU UPS

I was going to say, they are supposed to have gps when they deliver something such that if they leave it at the wrong house they can track it to which house they left

I called them out on that. They know the driver f-ed up. We have our house number on our house. We live at the end of a cul de sac. He delivered to the house at the end of the cul de sac our cul de sac is off. I provided Pottery Barn with photos that UPS took of the delivery with the house address obscured, photos I took with the house numbers clearly visible, pictures of the box (well card board wrapping to protect it) soaking wet, pictures of my house and pictures from Apple Maps the location of my house and where they left it. They will get their money back from UPS and hopefully this POS driver gets the boot. They won’t be able to resell it.

I had Google Fiber installed yesterday to dump Spectrum who was overcharging me per month for my service. It didn’t even bother me he was running behind by like 4 hours cause a previous install took longer than expected, told him on the heads up call he made to just come on whenever, I’m here all day and if it gets too late, we’d deal with it then. I was delighted the techs onsite were just cool as hell, chatted a lot, joked, like we were friends for a long time.

There’s still some positive things out there in the world, just ignore the negative or don’t focus on it and you’ll see the good that’s left.
