That’s the decision I’m contemplating. Not all of it will be low value items, will mix in a bunch of lots and sets as well as some higher priced hot books of the week kinda stuff. For my area I don’t really like the dealers that will come to buy my stuff in bulk. They will offer pennies on the dollar and will try to rip you off thinking you don’t know your stuff. Way too many of them here.
Packing single comics is quite easy and quick for me. I just use painters tape and tape them to 2 pieces of thick cardboard and slip them into a bubble envelope that I can buy in bulk. Fits perfectly and there hasn’t been an issue after hundreds of shipments.
If you have the time to put it together and you think you’ll be able to move books enough to make some profit, what’s the harm in trying it for a few months?
That’s why you do it in small steps. Build the drafts and use the free listings until you have enough for one of the stores and only move up levels when it saves money over the previous level. Along the way you may decide the whole things not worth it. On the other hand you may end up loving it and wanting to commit to the yearly plans saving even more.
I think I’ll start using the free listings, monitor how much I’m selling and decide whether a store is worth it later. I’ve spoken with numerous people who have stores and they like them, but as Joe stated, they stay disciplined (which is not really my thing outside of work ).
Do you guys know if this is new? So someone messaged me on ebay asking about one of my comics. Asked if the digital redeem code is still there and hasn’t been used. Since I haven’t read it and was sure it was still there but decided to check it anyways.
Looks like you have to go on marvels website to get a code emailed to you. I went to check some other books and saw the same thing. Has marvel stopped issuing out digital code stickers in their books? Wanted to know before replying to buyer.
Suppose to have code in book. Looks like it got missed, it’s happened to me before. I just had to provide pics of the book with a few pages to prove I got the book and it’s missing the peel off sticker to reveal the digital code for Marvel support and they provided one for me.
It’s so weird. I just checked some other recent marvel books that I’ve bought and all have the same message and no code. These were bought on the shelf on ncbd so they couldn’t have been tampered with.
So the book is Ghost Rider 17 2023, the Barends cover Hellverine preview. I think the buyer is messaging me because he wants to make sure the code is still there and wants to grade the book. Can someone with the actual book let me know if they have a sticker on their book? I might have to take down the listing if that’s the case, thanks.
Oh, I just read the page in your screenshot, I guess they did change the way it’s getting redeemed. Seems like a longer tedious process if that’s the case. Another dumb move on Marvel’s part if this is the way their going. (It’s been a while since I’ve redeemed a code myself, I’ve just been waiting for a lot of books to hit the Marvel Unlimited app to read).
