Did they put a warning in white sky?
Honestly they are an eBay affiliate that survives in clicks and purchases, I am surprised they aren’t saying it’s the second coming.

White Sky got a buyer beware warning as well. Not the hippo tho.
So as someone who sells on the secondary market and is not buying from the distributor, is it market manipulation to make a profit when I sell a book? Kind of stupid
Also….
murder drones was a streaming show
Oh. Because they called it a key of the week so it’s not market manipulation.
And there are comics based on movies with fan bases that don’t move at all. So really having a built in audience doesn’t mean a book is going to shoot up.
So when Nick selects comics for his picks of the week, he never hesitates to mention that the book is trending on the top 20 trending of the week. He loves to take credit for those because his picks has moved the market, but isn’t that market manipulation?
I find it amusing that KCC can’t seem to realize that putting these warnings with absolutely zero proof besides a ‘feeling’ looks horrible on his credibility. How can you trust someone to give you an unbiased evaluation of the books when you issue warnings for no reason at all, no proof, simply that someone paid more than you feel they should have paid.
Incredibly, where is the market manipulation warning on Action Comics #1? I mean 8.5 went for $6 million in 2024 and then suddenly in 2025 a 9.0 goes for $15 million??? Buyer Beware! … this book also had a secondary market demand that outpaced the supply

all these manipulators pretending to be saviors
just saying it had some potential out the gates
Oh I agree. Thats why I put it on my picks of the week. But what we are seeing is books getting hot and them shouting “market manipulation” when a book does get hot. With no proof. And this time he actually said it could be the creators causing hype to drive up the prices. But the thing is, they make their money off books being wholesaled to the distributors. They don’t make money off the secondary market.
They have copies to offload?
I think the ones crying manipulation are trying to manipulate people into not buying books people want to buy for prices they’re willing to pay. It’s called projection…it’s a defense mechanism.
Gen Z thinks nothing of dropping $100 or more on a TCG card that just came out. $40 for a comic is nothing…$100 is nothing. they want it, they think nothing of paying it. They don’t care what it’s worth is tomorrow. They saw it now, they want it now. Now now now. Today’s world of instant gratification from a click of a button.
I don’t think old farts are paying $40 for White Sky and $100 for D’Orc.
If it were manipulation…why this book? Why now? Why not that other book? Why not then?
People are just FOMO’ing. Maybe more so than in the past because social media is so much better at spreading it.
Comics are back again. Isn’t it great?
I love that they are back. So does my investment account.
People buy up hundreds of exclusives at $30 every year but no one bats an eye. When a book organically gets heat and has no supply, people freak out.
Klarna and tax refunds. I see people spend stupid money on whatnot and mentions of using Klarna.
How can 8 be a possible first appearance when they even agreed with me that 7 was the first full appearance?

Maybe Nick is taking a shortcut and using AI to go read through solicitations to come up with these picks.
