You said you don’t pay taxes at unknown as well, right? Is that because you’re in New York and no tax on periodicals? If so I’m going to seriously consider switching to them. At least for some stuff.

@ToddW No tax when I lived in NY no tax on NJ as well. I dont think they charge tax. Been that way almost a whole year. This my last order 40 books %30 percent off until the Mon of FOC after Mon/FOC books are removed from site. And I used my $5 off points. This same book order cost me about $150-$160 on Tfaw.

completely agree with most of your point.
I also recently switched from tfaw to unknown and have been very pleased so far, best packing in the industry, all books are 9.6 or above, free bags and board, free shipping and no tax. the only is issue is it may take a while for your books to come and no customer service. but i dont need customer service when the books are such high quality. 4 orders so far all perfect.
Westfield - 99 cent deals are amazing, I managed to get stacks of star wars high republic #1, 2, 3 ,SWHRA #1 all for 99 cents.

Yeah. For Jersey if you have more than 200 transactions a year to customers in that state you need to charge sales tax.
@ToddW each state has its own laws on what constitutes a tax nexus. Used to be if you weren’t in that state you were fine, but a lot now have minimum sales revenue or transactions when you need to report.
Whether some sites just aren’t reporting taxes or haven’t hit the nexus thresholds yet who knows.

My TFAW order just processed, but it’s missing a few things. Anyone else not get the following with their order?

On sale date of 3/3, so I’m not sure if there were delays or damages or what.
Bonus question. If you’ve had a book not ship at TFAW due to damages, you know they keep that in for your next order (and next order, and so on). But my question is, have you ever actually gotten one of these books? I have several from months ago that just keep moving for order to order, but never ship. Solid Blood 17, TMNT 112 1:10, etc.
It’s frustrating, as I’d prefer they just cancel it so I can try to track it down elsewhere. This forever tease is irritating.

Yes! I mean, if they ever actually shipped, it would be one thing. But I’ve never had one show. Maybe others have?
same here still waiting for the solid blood, SW high republic #1 han variant and #1 2nd print been outstanding for a while.

I actually did have one that shipped 5 weeks after the release date. It was a 1:25 incentive and it appears they outsourced the comic from somebody else (had different bag/board with a sticker on it).
Anyway, it came significantly damaged. I guess they didn’t even take it out of it’s bag and board to inspect it after they received it from the 3rd party… there was a significant hole in the back of the comic.
I emailed support on Monday about the damage and asked them to cancel all my other items that are 2+ months old. Still have not heard back yet as of Friday.
I am pretty sure they haven’t processed 3/3 orders yet. Stuff that processed for me is 2/17 and 2/24, nothing from 3/3 yet. They are playing catch up still. I can only speak for myself obviously but man I don’t want an entire months of orders processed in one day. That would be very expensive for me lol

I believe they’re processing last weeks orders right now and hopefully this weeks over the weekend… due to all the shipment delays from Diamond.
I don’t mind waiting myself. Would rather they avoid any rushing that may result in damage to comics.

Got my order from Midtown today, it was sent out fast. Picked up some random things a few weeks back when they had Marvel discount. Filled in my missing Daredevil Issues, been wanting a Skeletor variant :P, got a SW High Republic Hans, The TMNT #95 was very minty. Issues-Amazing Spider-man #10 has spinal pull from way it was stored, and Punisher has some sort of grime on cover.
$9.57 for all 3 at TFAW and my large order had smaller stacks which was a first. Mismatched bags/board sizes but everything in good shape.
Received 1x Eniac and 3x Eniac not a first printings along with a couple other books today from Third Eye Comics. Their packaging was outstanding. Gemini mailer inside bubble wrap in a USPS box. All books are 9.8 contenders. Flawless victory. I’ll be back for more. Oh and the shipping was only $5!!!

Dude you’re lucky! Everyone there has been a real pro in all my interactions.
My LCS keeps the “pull boxes” in a half full long box so all the ones towards the back are creased in half. Then when I tell them I don’t want the damaged books, they say “oh you’re one of those speculators”. I don’t know how they stay in business!
