We should take bets on what it sells for. Price is Right rules. Closest to the number with out going over. In this case saying $1 will be a losing bet. I would say 1.1 Million.
$1,100,000.01
Always best to be the last bidder.
lol not even close to being able to pull that off.
If Heritage is the auctioneer, they just went up from 20% buyer premium on art to 25%. So that may affect the raw bid number.
One of the bitcoin bros will come out of the woodwork for it. Or it may be someone who has to consign other big stuff from their collection in order to play. Iāll guess $800,000.
@D-Rog $500,000 and $1,100,000.01 (Canāt say I am happy with that last bid)
@enabler $800,000
@Anthony $1,100,000
@BatmanFan $1,200,000
Anyone else want to play?
I was joking with the $1.1M. And I said at least $500k. I was just pointing out sweet (but less iconic) covers hover in that range.
My real answer is $700k, if Iām going to nail down a number for this game.
$777,000.01 for me lol
Hereās an interesting sale. Technically not an āiconicā book or coverā¦at least Iāve never seen people ogle over it.
Iāve always liked it though. This issue was my first ever graded comic (a CGC 9.0) so it got the ball rolling. I also have a reader copy being his 1st origin issue.
Itās probably the 1st cover that really āfeaturedā Thanos. A great action cover with Captain Marvel as well, overpowering him. Issue 26 heās yelling out a window. 28 itās just a vision of his head in the backdrop. Not an expensive book by any meansā¦.under appreciated in my opinion. But obviously there are some out there with $$$ that do appreciate it.
I should get Starlin to sign my reader copy.
You have to have a cutoff time though to make it fair and once you make your bid, you canāt change it⦠Hrrrmm⦠cough, @D-Rog
My $500k bid came in before the game (and rules) was announced.
If you want to hold me to the $1,100.00.01 ājokeā bid then fine. Just screws @Anthony.
Is $700k your final answer?
Yes, screw Anthony over⦠hahaā¦
Yes.
