Original Art For Sale - Now's Your Chance

Which is why I posted the time left, in case people wanted to tune in.

IF anyone wants to try and nail this final price between 700,000.01 to 777,000.00, that’d be fanfsckingtastic…

With or without buyer’s premium…

:flushed:

Final price I guess in that range… that’s the game right? Or are we not counting buyers premium and just from the actual auction sale price itself?

I don’t know why they disclose that. To me it’s value is what the buyer paid for it.

:100:

Same to me… it’s the final auction price. The buyers premium or any other fees tacked on these types of auctions should be zero part of the final value. Like if there was zero more bids and it ended at $512,500.00, then it’s worth $512,500.00

Actually, the buyer is paying $640,625 if it ended now. So that’s what it’s worth. And we’ve all over bid.

Oh sorry, let me clarify. I don’t count the premium tacked on at the end… yes, they would pay that but the actual value for me is what they bid on. Like if I went to go bid on this to try and win and won it at the next minimum bid required at $525,000.00 and I won, to me this would be worth $525,000.00.

I guess, if I go buy a car at $100,000.00 and I still have to pay TTL on it… I don’t say the car is worth $115,000.00 or whatever the full amount is. Same with a product from the store… $100 tool bought, I don’t tack on the tax here in my State and say the tool is worth $108.00…

But the buyer is l bidding knowing they will be paying that much more…it’s like if eBay put the seller fees on the buyer, the winning bid would be lower…but the final coat to the buyer likely the same.

Buyers are going to have a max they’re willing to pay…whether the auction house collects their fee from the buyer or seller doesn’t really matter.

I consider the buyer’s premium part of the final cost. The winner is not getting the item unless they pay the premium. It’s like resort/destination fees at hotels, a bull**** line item separated out to make the product appear less expensive than it actually is.

Yeah. I have to say the buyers fee is part of the price. We can have a winner with and without buyers fee

May have misunderstood this. Says proxy bidding ends in the next day…but live floor auction is 11am Friday.

So I’m assuming they stop taking bids between the proxy and then start up again when it goes ā€œliveā€?

Yes.

For proxy bids, they will help to bid up the price up to the maximum you had stated.

When it goes live, you can increase your bid up to the next incremental amount (there is a minimum incremental amount) or proxy bid up to your maximum.

FYI - it’s number 47 in the lot…so going to be a bit…

I like this auctioneer. He’s got some good comments on the art. Having fun with it.

1 hr in, 27 pieces down, 19 to go.

ā€œPlastic Man, one of the best characters in comics…I don’t think it’s a ā€˜stretch’ to say itā€¦ā€

Dad joke.

Frank Frazzetta covers up…Ghost Rider #5 cover going for big bucks.

$450k w/ BP…wow.
