Original Art For Sale - Now's Your Chance

I tuned in just in time. Let’s see what happens!

Didn’t make a $1M. Not even close!

Congrats @Gbess

You win bragging rights.

(In case anyone cares, winning “bid” was $625k w/o buyers premium…so basically it only increases about $100k, or 20%, once it went live.

Now that I understand how.

BTW, next time we’ll have to create a buffer between bids to avoid that $.001 bids…auctions don’t allow such bids…

Next art coming up for Todd….11/23.

Its 25% actually. Madness I know.

It blows my mind that the people who who willing pay out a HUGE buyers premium are the same people who ask for every single deal and discount they can get on a McDonald’s order.

I’m spoiled by eBay as a buyer. No premium for me, just what I want.

You do know that buyers pays for all the premiums (even those on ebay), right? LOL

Depends how you interpret it.

It is not a matter of interpretation, but rather just good business practice by sellers actually.

In original art, sellers often bump up the price that they will accept in places like comicartfans or facebook marketplace, when they list the same piece on ebay to cover ebay fees.

I never really got how some of these somewhat “random”
Pages fetch so much $$$.

I could see the first cell of Spider-punk being a thing since he wasn’t on the cover and has a cult following…but random Worlds Finest Dan Mora pages fetching $1000-$2000 and climbing? I don’t quite get the attraction.

But then again people pay crazy amounts for new releases like D’orc or far fetched MCU speculation books based on the mere mention a character might make an appearance in a movie or TV show…who am I to tell them how to spend money.

Mora draws a lot digitally. Add in his popularity and then uber popular characters. Future artwork yet to be drawn won’t be cheap either with his current representation.

Helps that there is a nice splashy image of Bats. Also, all original art are 1/1.

Full disclosure: I am the one selling these three pages of original art.

One more day to go and it is at my asking price.

Last day to bid on these
