Geiger #1 is on FOC this Monday and this is a new title I’m looking forward to myself. And the 90s are back baby with Glow in the Dark Covers!
Who are the scavengers of a dying earth? GEIGER is set in the years since a nuclear war ravaged the planet, desperate outlaws battle for survival in a world of radioactive chaos. Out past the poisoned wasteland lives a man even the Nightcrawlers and Organ People fear. Some name him Joe Glow, others call him The Meltdown Man. But his name is Geiger.

Silver Coin #1 is on FOC and I think this one has potential based on the potential great read. If it heats up, even better right. What looks like a great list of writers for each issue, let’s hope they make the supernatural world connected by a coin come together to keep us buying to read.

Star Wars High Republic Adventures #3 has been fun. I might actually like this title more than the main High Republic title Marvel is putting out.
Now I might be leaning towards the Adventures title more currently, that’s not stopping me from buying the main title though. A must for any Star Wars fan and honestly, this has so much potential for the long term. Buy a few, stash them, wait (of course keep a copy around before stashing to read).
Star Wars High Republic #4
Star Wars High Republic #4 (Bustos Variant) (Seems a lot aren’t too excited about this cover. As I don’t think the art is bad, it just doesn’t seem to suit this title and style of art. They should have used Bustos on Adventures instead)
Avengers #44 will supposedly tell us who the all new Phoenix will be. Existing character, all new character? It’s gonna be hot if it’s a brand new character but I think signs are pointing to an existing character which makes this not as exciting. A power that can be transferred from one to the other is not that special if you ask me. But still worthy of keeping a close eye on.
Avengers #44 (Weaver Connecting Variant)
Avengers #44 (Momoko Variant) (It’s cover price and open order, so it likely won’t catch heat but it’s still a really good Momoko cover)
Excuse my language but how’d the EFF did this book get a second printing? BOOM! is playing us. But with the bazillion copies of the first print out there available, will this be the one to buy if this book ever has it’s demand exceed supply (I’ll probably already be in final resting place; all snug in my urn atop someones fireplace mantle when this finally happens) ? Even my local shop who is normally pretty conservative on over ordering BOOM! titles had stacks and stacks of the first prints available.
But anyways, the 2nd printing gets the foil treatment of Brzrkr #1 (2nd Ptg Garney Foil Variant). And I do like Garney’s work. Very underrated artist.
I don’t think this next one will catch any heat (but it could since there are so many players and fans out there still of the game) but Magic the Gathering #1 is on FOC this Monday. I must say, I’m tempted to buy it just because I love Scalera’s artwork who is blessing the regular cover with his awesomeness.

Many Deaths of Laila Starr #1 (of 5) caught my attention from previews. Sounds like a great potential read. Guess I’ll just have to wait and see but it’s definitely on the check out list.
