Can anyone help me nail down a price for IDW GI Joe 252 cover B? I cannot find any sold listings in recent history on eBay. I can’t find an active sale listing for it either. Hot Baroness cover.
I sold a couple copies several months ago. They can go anywhere from $25-$50. They might have gone up though as supply dwindle.
Edit: OOPs that was the price for cover A. $25-$50. Cover B the Royle cover I sold for $60 I believe, they can go anywhere from $75-$100 but can be higher now. Mine was a VF/NM copy so didn’t mind letting it go. If it was a 9.8 I would’ve hung on and got it graded.

Cool. I have one and want to sell it. I think I’ll put it up for $100 and see what happens. If CGC didn’t ruin books, I’d get it graded but I give up. I’m not taking the chance. I also found the Black Cat 1 J Scott Campbell Cat Noir variant cover in a box I had and I can’t believe what that sells for. My copy is a solid 9.8 but I can’t take the chance. I’ll just sell it raw.

If you don’t need the money right away I would absolutely not sell the Black Cat raw. That is a massive, massive book. I would not send it to CGC either because of the high likelihood that it will get a banana bend, not worth the risk. Instead, send it to PSA. They won’t damage your book and early indications are that PSA is getting about the same FMV as CGC. Still early and could be a novelty thing but I really don’t think so. People really like the new labels and if the FMVs hold up in a few months people will have no problems switching companies and will do it fast.
Worth a shot to send it to PSA. It will be the first Cat Noir PSA 9.8 in the market so you might get a little bump. That’s what I would do anyways if I had a 9.8 candidate.

I’ve also got Black Cat 1 cover B (Felicia’s loft) which apparently is up there too in price. Maybe I’ll send both books in.
I would agree. Worst case (pun intended) you can crack it out later.
So I was going to post this in the Crimes of MyComicShop thread but I really just need pricing advice. I bought an ABM 1 first print from MyComicShop last year when it came out with one of my orders. They said it was NM but by the “7” on the bar code there is a tear in the cover. I didn’t feel like hassling over it. If there aren’t any other major issues with the book (there are no spine ticks, etc), what grade and price would you put on this. I’m going to try and unload it but to avoid the “fun” that ensues on ebay with anything other than a 9.8 candidate, I want to be as transparent about the condition as possible AND price it accordingly to avoid a return. Thanks for any suggestions.

For me a VF- 7.5, but it might be able to pass as an 8.0…at best, if there is nothing else wrong with it. You could list it in the “VF range” which would cover 7.0 to 8.5 with a price of $70 OBO and go from there. NM copies are going just north of $100 now, so I don’t think you would have much trouble selling at $60 to $70.

…or send it to CGC and get it back with added bends and a grade of 9.2. (could happen)

What’s the lowest price of a 1st print on eBay now? Any grade? Put it up for $5 under and it will sell w/in 24 hrs.

No, don’t do that. Put it up for auction instead starting at 1 cent. ABM 1 will sell at any grade.

I actually do think CGC would give it a 9.2, but I agree it’s a VF. Someone recently auctioned a FN/VF that ended at $86.
Personally, I think the demand is strong enough that if you want to put up as a BIN, I wouldn’t go lower than $75-90 and then evaluate how many views/watchers you get.

I would definitely sell it while the demand is red hot for that book, the grade will mean a lot less to buyers right now

A Quick Look The lowest price on ebay (any grade) was $120 BIN…so maybe $115 isn’t the best price…
I agree start no less than $80…my gut says it won’t go for $90…because if people are willing to pay $90 they’ll
Pay $120…but you never know.
It’ll eventually end up in a dollar bin some day though…move it before that happens!
