I’m getting a PS5 eventually, but this will likely be the first console generation since the original NES where I don’t get one at launch. I’ve just got too many great games I need to play on the current consoles still. Not to mention PC.
I hear ya…IF I can get a PS pre-order I will get it at launch, if not I can wait six or seven months. For the X-Box, I have the X and I am pretty sure it will be able to handle newer games well enough for the next year or two. For a console it has been a powerhouse.
Looks like we got some xbox prices and the release date Xbox series X $499 maybe a launch bundle at $599 Xbox new series S $299 will be stronger than the previous Xbox One X But not nearly as strong as the more expensive new Xbox X or PS5. Will release second week of November.
As for Ps5 it’s looking $500 for discless, $600 for disk drive and more storage. Rumored to release first or third week of November already flashing warning signs of a holiday shortage all though Sony says they are on schedule to meet demand. Which they have never met demand on any of their systems launches expect ps5 hard to find.
the Xbox One Series S is rumored to be less powerful that the One X.
Even if it is somewhere between the PS Pro and X1X that would make it a fairly powerful offering and it would be a very good budget console for gamers who don’t necessarily need or want to play every game at 4k. A lot of people still have 1080p sets with no desire to upgrade for a while.
I really want the new Xbox but I think I will try and get the PS5 first this gen…I have the Xb1X and it just plays games so freaking great that I just don’t see the need to upgrade yet. I’m sure by the time gen two of the next gen games come out it will start showing its age a bit but until then I’ll give the PS5 a spin. As for Nintendo, the Switch my be under-powered but I have been enjoying it maybe even more than the Xbox. Just a fun console.
Couldn’t agree with you more. At one point I was very addicted to Zelda and couldn’t stop playing it. Had to cut my play time lol
I had to cut back on playing Zelda too after a while too! Very addictive and fun but sooooo time consuming!
Out of the PS4 and Switch (I’m not a Microsoft fan and there’s no real reason to get a XBox when most of the games are on the PS), the Switch (and the WiiU previously) gets played the most out of all the family members.
That’s why I don’t play many games, I feel like I’ve wasted time… cause right now, as much as I enjoy playing Horizon on the PS4, when I start, what should be a few hours ends up being like 8-10 straight… it’s like Lays potato chips… once you start, you can’t stop…
Yup…with the little one I am playing a lot less these days which is fine. When I do have the time it is good to vege for a few but that happens less and less… I do collect games and consoles so even if I don’t play a ton there is the collectible aspect to it.
My 7 year old was very addicted to the N64 and the Sega Genesis. He would play Sonic and Majora’s Mask. He also got his game time cut down lol
I made the mistake of showing my now three year old Pac Man when he was two…He is now obsessed with it. At least I can make him do more ABC’s and counting by telling him if he doesn’t there will be no Pac Man.
Lol. You got to do what you got to do to get those ABC’s lol
Xbox Series X will be $499. Series S will be $299
