Isn’t the figure on that cover/future covers simply Zak-Del (Wraith) in a different costume/look?
Zak-Del is infected with the Exolon and his entire premise is his search to hunt down Knull in an attempt to rid himself of it. Obviously, any interaction with Knull is going to have some sort of likely impact/consequence.
Kak-Del is a genetic offshoot of Kree, the look is still there, the hair is still similar. Only thing that changed is the costume and new indications of a look similar to Knull.
We also had the now on hold issue of Web of Venom:Wraith and in those covers/variant cover…his resemblance is pretty close to these images generally speaking.
I won’t be surprised if there’s a Knull series already being planned out…
