Well, if the cover remains a mystery it’ll likely be overlooked by many. I’m not ordering it until I see it. I may likely avoid it until I see it picking up heat…
Sadly we’ll never know the actual print run of any book unless the publisher releases the info. The closest thing we have is Comichron who pulls the numbers based on sales… which just gives us a good roundabout idea of how many are out in the wild…
I made an open order with my shop. I love the book & want any issue. Told them to just order one of every print regardless of issue or how deep they go in later printings. Same with Venom, Thor, Once & Future & Something is Killing the children. I love all of these runs/covers aside from any “spec”.
I just gotta catch em all.

Ok well heres my newbie definition as I see it. Correct me if I’m wrong. 1st print is 30k. 2nd print is about 15k-18k and 3rd print is around 5k-8k. NOW not to pump n dump or force a books popularity cause Strange has that already so the 3rd print no cover unknown to most shops (I was st 2 LCS today n Bronx) and they had no clue. So besides US on the boards chats and such the regular customer doesn’t know about these things for a popular book. But I was not trying to hype it as such just sharing that it was available. A more learned or experienced speculator investor could add to it.

That’s how I feel with my pull list but my shop isn’t to big on ordering like that since covid etc so these past months I’ve taken my due diligence to find what I wanted.
Print runs can be tricky… There is a chance Strange Academy 2nd print took most by surprise and may have a very small print run and when the 3rd print was announced FOMO could be taking place where a lot more will be ordered by shops and collectors…or it could be the exact opposite. Will be interesting to see.

True but I’m gonna use the window of opportunity is slim. 3rd print just got posted 2day an announced.
images jus revealed about 20min ago. It’s almost end of day so idk. Buuuut idk I’d rather have a couple copies than not have especially for $2.79 a pop.

Got my $9.99 SA1 from the lounge link the other day. Has a little bend near the bottom spine but should press out fine. Very happy!
Now if I someone like midtown or comic mint would ship me my second prints…

I just got my Campbell signed and one from Skottie signed. I have SA #1 covered from all angles. I snag multiple copies of each issue/cover. This one will pay off in the long run. It will be one of those series people will seek out gradually.
at least there using new art on all the reprints, the school coat of arms on issue 2 2nd is nice
@D-Rog My copy received from them has the very exact same flaw in the bottom corner just fyi. Not complaining, just must have been why we all got ahold of some.

I think it can be pressed out too. Helps being a white cover.
Covers with lots of black are a PAIN. My kingdom for a, “Moon Knight,” #25 with the first Black Spectre I can get pressed into a 9.8! They always end up 9.6 at best when CGC grades them.
Thats what I ike about the 2nd and 3rd prints.Thew new covers compared to DC color change background.
FYI, if you missed the 2nd print of #1, Midtown has them back in stock at cover but still limit to 1 per…

I added another. This one is selling good in after market.
I know it can be a little annoying but the books are theirs to price idiotically. I think we need a thread for the weird, strange or annoying things we find online. Im all the time running across idiots on eBay.
