He was diagnosed with ALS in September and passed away today at age 60.
His work with Kurt Busiek (Avengers Forever, etc) was stellar.

That seems rather quick when you hear about people with ALS living for a very much longer time. I’m wondering if it was by choice to end, which honestly I’d probably consider the same thing in such situation.

Not a lot of details out yet. Might not be actually be cause of death, but his diagnosis was public. I do know sometimes ALS can attack breathing pretty quickly.
Regardless of the cause of death, this has been a terrible year for losing creators.
