Miles covers been slept on…
I’m surprised the Crain cvr hasn’t gotten some love. I guess there’s too many
I like this one coming up
No TNA, I guess
I won’t buy anything Crain after the Acetate Gate fiasco. I think many collectors feel the same.
ditto.
not buying ever that guy has done
Him and his dopey 2 hands full of colored pens
But in at my lcs is $299. Other shop said they were saving it for their spawn guy.
Is it a Liefeld homage? That’s a lot of pouches.
Put Levi’s on him and you have Liefeld Spawn.
yes, and it will have over a 3,000 print run…
As a Spawn fan I want it, but I’m not spending $300+ for it. Last thank you variant I got was for the ASM300 homage and I paid $20 for it. I guess I’m going to pass on this one
Also let’s be honest, it’s not a great cover. Particularly for Todd, who is normally more dynamic. People will overpay for the autograph.
Just put in on your want list; wait for 3 years or so (probably less); and you’ll get it for $50 - $75.
Patience is all that is needed in this hobby for new books and you’ll almost always get your appropriate price you believe the comic should be; not the price when “everyone” wants it.
I keep an Excel spreadsheet of new books that are ridiculous to buy upfront; but I just wait and almost always get what I want eventually.
smh… not heating up. Cover price is $7.99. What do you think small comic stores are going to sell it for ???
Also, its $54 at Midtown
The way I look at it is that these are FOMO presales as the supply on eBay is currently low. It’s hard to judge if it’s truly heating up as most have not received and/or posted their copies in hand yet.
All you can say is the lowest BIN is listed for $45. It’s worth noting it’s the only “real” copy with photos…given it’s listed as VF/NM Makes me wonder if this book will be one that was printed on marvel’s crappy paper. All factors that could play into whether this lands in the coming week.
I got all mine for $25 each
Take the largest ratio qty, multiply by cover price, divide by two, that’s close to the base cost to bring the books in. minus shipping and the cost of the ratio’s themselves.
Add up the ratio qty of all the ratio’s available for order, say four 25’s and a 100 would equal 200.
$3.99 base cover price would for example be $200 buy in, then you have 200 in ratio to divide that into. Profit comes from selling any of the covers to qualify.
If the cover price jumps to $7.99 then the same ratio’s instead of pricing at ratio would have to go at double ratio to make the math work.
Add in some larger or additional ratio’s and the math changes again all the way up to ignorant with the bundle packs you could make with Boom or Dynamites ratio madness.
Take Blood Hunt this week. With the base cover price at $5.99 and a 200 qty ratio out there, It’s a $598 buy in plus the cost of the ratios themselves. They only offer a 100, a 25 and a 10 so that makes twenty 10’s at 200, plus eight 25’s at 200, two 100’s at 200 and the 200 itself so total ratio potential is 800. That makes the Ratio potential more than the buy in so some discounting off ratio becomes possible. If they’d tossed in a 50 then it would have been even more potential to lower off ratio=price standards.
At the same time, if you don’t grab that 200 and only go up to the 100, then you’re looking at $299 buy in and 300 in ratio addition or your back at selling for ratio again.
