Selling comics Raw vs Slabbed

That’s why YOU buy insurance if you want to protect yourself if they don’t on any books and revenue you can’t stand to lose.

The only thing to disagree with is your face…

But you’re only talking after the book is back from getting slabbed, ignoring all the up front risks involved you turd!

I did buy insurance.

I’m talking about scamming. And I package well and insure. It’s not like CGC or CBCS is going to pull a fast one on me.

They might when they grade that 9.4 you submitted and it comes back a 9.8

You lost me there. I wouldn’t submit a modern comic I was expecting a 9.4 back. All 9.8s…so if it comes back 9.8 then I’m agreeing with them.

And if I’m sending in something I think is less it’s likely for my PC anyway.

Did I say Modern? I also guess you’re not sensing my sarcasm either while just messing with you… you taking this too seriously now.

Nah, just answering your questions and providing rebuttals.

I’m actually messing with you…

I have nothing better to do while being chained to a wall where no one hears my screams for help…

We hear your screams. We just ignore them. Please quit being so loud while I’m trying to catch up on my, “90 Day Fiance.”

Any advice on what I should do with a somewhat used copy of Clone Wars 1 (fist Ahsoka)?

I don’t know much about grading, but I’m guessing it’s clearly not a 9.0 or an 8.5. I’ve had it for years and don’t know if I should grade it, sell it raw, or maybe frame it for my room?!

Thanks!

You can get it pressed to take out some of the spine damage. From what I can tell, you can get between 7.0-8.0 grade. There is couple of rub off on the book as well. But with CGC you never know. You might get a 9.4 lol.

Thanks for the response!

I looked online and didn’t see any 7.0s on Ebay over the past three months. Thus my dilemma, is it worth getting a low-grade modern comic graded? I’m curious what other people would do?

It’s Ahsoka, not Ashoka. :man_shrugging:

I would wait until Disney+ brings Ahsoka back and then sell raw… OR, take it to a few LCS owners (or dealers at conventions) and ask their grading opinion. It’s possible you have some unscrupulous answers if someone wants to take advantage and talk it down to give you a lowball offer, but you’re not obligated to sell until you’re ready.

If you’re going to critique someone spelling, it’s only polite that you also answer their question!

Good to know. Thanks!

@NickH …I’d probably press and slab that particular book hoping for at least an 8.0. :+1:
The Ahsoka misspelling is common. Names spelled incorrectly is a pet peeve of mine. Couldn’t help myself.:man_shrugging: Sorry, eh.

As someone who barely follows Star Wars all I know is she is an alien and a Jedi. I can’t even spell her name.
