Shortboxed App

I feel ya! I bought my daughter the Pokemon cereal and she loved it. I, on the other hand, almost went into a diabetic coma from one bowl of it :joy:

Didn’t these guys have a whole big event? shortboxed live? I guess they got serious backing if they managed to hold an event and barely anyone uses the app

Haha it’s crazy how easily things become too sweet when you get older. I even drink my coffee without it.

just completed my first transaction with the shorboxed app. accepted the offer june 4 and received the slab June 20. the slab was packed in a padded envelope and wrapped in bubble wrap. for $700 comic i would have preferred a box. overall the transaction was smooth but took two weeks to get the book.

anyone else use shortboxed.

I’ve sold several books on shortboxed. The listing / selling process is easy but I don’t have experience as a buyer.

I’ve bought maybe one book. It was a good experience…I look there periodically, but it doesn’t have as large of a selection as eBay or McS, obviously…

If they had a book I wanted for the right price I would not hesitate.

How has selling on Shortboxed been for those that have used it to sell? I had placed listings on there a year ago, but had no bites at all. I was thinking of trying again here soon and listing some of my slabs on there. With eBay being all over the place, it doesn’t hurt to try a few other avenues to sell.

Nothing has been moving for me on eBay. Meanwhile I have sold a bunch of hot new books on Mercari. None of them are slabs though and I think that’s the requirement to sell on Shortboxed

I’ve been using shortboxed more as of late, this has been my experience.

As a buyer: hands down the best deals, especially in their daily auctions.

As a seller: you’ll sell more, but usually for a little less than eBay. Their 10% commission and no processing fees on payouts help. I really like it to move stuff that’s been sitting.

I’ve bought a few comics there…good experience. I have a few saved searches and check frequently. May start listing.

I have a bunch listed on their marketplace (buy it now) but the hosted auctions are especially great for moving volume. You email them asking to host a private auction and provide a theme and starting bid amount and they’ll create it for you. The starting bid will be the same for all the books in that particular auction. They also have $1 community auctions that anyone can list books on daily.

Post here if you end up doing one.

But seriously, check out their auctions. There are 4 ending every day. I actually have one ending tonight with some nice books like Teen Titans 44, Deadpool Merc With a Mouth 7 and Avengers 48, just to name a few.
