For you Fortnite/Beast Boy fans:

There’s so much demand for this book, I don’t think you can flood the market, TBH. I sold 45 copies in the span of two days.

Which book is this one?

It’s not a book just the game itself. Sorry for confusion.

Interesting thread with retailers feedback on Fortnite book

Be careful ordering issue 6, the code will drop on the store the same day as the comic book. They can complete their batman armor outfit with either one, and I imagine they will go with the online store. The vbucks cost of the items are higher, but the breakeven point for the player is around $8 or so in game, vs a comic that they would have to wait for if purchasing online.

Also seeing preorder listings for the later issues exceeding 100s of copies sold for a little over cover price. Just a heads up

I thought the comic code was the only way to complete it for all the issues.

HOW CAN FORTNITE PLAYERS GET ACCESS TO THE BATMAN/FORTNITE IN-GAME ITEMS?

There are 3 ways to get the items that are a part of the Batman/Fortnite crossover event:

  1. Purchase print versions of the Batman/Fortnite comic books from your local comics shop. The print version of each of the comic book issues contains 1 unique code that unlocks that issue’s in-game item. If you redeem the code from all six issues of the Batman/Fortnite crossover, you’ll receive a bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit. The hardcover collected edition, available on September 7, 2021, collects all 6 comic books and includes 1 unique code that unlocks all 7 items.
  2. A paid subscription to DC UNIVERSE INFINITE gives fans day and date access to all 6 comic books in digital format, and 1 unique code per issue will be provided to paying subscribers who read the issue for the same in-game items as the physical comic books.
  3. Purchase the in-game items directly in the Fortnite game, with V-Bucks.*Note: Code redemption can be from digital or physical issues, or a combination of both. In order to get the bonus Armored Batman Zero Outfit, all six codes must be redeemed on the same Epic Games account.

*The suggested retail price of a Batman/Fortnite comic book is $4.99 ($5.99 for a card stock variant cover). While the in-game cost of items varies by item, the item featured in Issue #2 (the Batman Zero Wing Glider) is currently 1,200 V-Bucks. The Fortnite store currently sells 1,000 V-Bucks for $7.99.

Actually, reading a little bit more into it, the reason the Harley outfit, or issue 1, did so well is because the in game item isn’t released until June 15th. All of the other items are released in game the same day as the comic comes out.

According to the Fortnite Status Twitter account, only code redemptions (comic or DC Infinite digital) will qualify for the Armored Batman Zero outfit.

I’m curious why the 3rd point is in there about purchasing with vbucks from the Fortnite game? What I copied is straight from Lunar distribution’s website for retailers, so there is obviously some confusion surrounding this.

Pretty sure that is referring to purchasing the batman suit directly from the game. You can either purchase the Batman suit from the game or redeem all six codes.

Redeeming one code and purchasing the other items doesn’t do anything to help you get the Batman Outfit

So when they are talking about the digital or physical issues, they are referring to the DC Universe subscription deal? Not the digital item in game?

Well, they are returnable so I assume shops will go pretty heavy on the last one…I assume… my buddy just sold 30 of the first one in a couple days so demand is still strong!

Correct.

Also, they’ve all been returnable, IIRC. In fact, the FOC was even pushed back a week for the first issue. Basically, DC was like, “are you sure you don’t want more? We’ll give you a week to reconsider.”

The only reason that I think supply may meet demand for the final issue or two is because these will be the only issues where retailers had a chance to gauge demand before FOC. All the other FOCs passed by before an issue was on the stands.

Directly from the bestselling, groundbreaking Batman/Fortnite: Zero Point miniseries, comes an oversized one-shot that brings the action from the island to Gotham City. If you thought the Batman/Fortnite saga was over, think again…it only gets bigger from here! Includes a bonus digital code for an outfit in Fortnite.

This one is on FOC this week, and I am not sure if you can get whatever outfit it is within the app like you could the other ones. Just a heads up  Gamble or don’t gamble?

" Batman/Fortnite: Foundation includes a redeemable code for a bonus DC-themed Fortnite digital item inspired by the comic’s events," Epic Games said. “The item that goes with Batman/Fortnite: Foundation ? From the new Dark Multiverse Set, The Batman Who Laughs Outfit! Also from the Set, the code additionally unlocks the Robin’s Perch Back Bling and Dark Days Loading Screen.”
