I’ve been watching this and keep forgetting to post how good the series has been. The Maul flashbacks in episode 7 provide more depth to his character.
Haven’t watched 8/9 yet…so I need to stop reading the posts…but anti say I have a few Darth Talon books I’ve been holding on to…and know where another is.
Which Disney executives pickle do I have to tickle to get doctor aphra in a project
Probably for the best if she doesn’t get a series or movie focused on her. Shocked it didn’t happen during the Kennedy era. Aphra series get repetitive… every female she comes across becomes a lover and sex partner.
I think the best option would be to introduce her during her later years with a flashback here or there. If she proves to be popular, maybe expand about her early life and flesh out some of the stuff we saw or didn’t see in the comics.
She could be an easy way to tie together characters, objects and history. I’m somewhat surprised that she didn’t have a cameo in Andor. But, it’s likely for the best that she didn’t.
Disney does not like mixing comic cannon and movie/TV.
Granted they brought over Krrsantan but in a very limited role.
What other characters debuted in comics prior to tv/film have been brought over? Cannon or otherwise?
Preview comics intended to tie to tv/movies excluded.
Give us the TV-MA version and people might enjoy some softcore alien loving.
Proper casting for Aphra, good/great storylines, treasure hunting, a little (not too much) softcore alien loving, Darth Vader and Black Krrsantan appearances and a lot of Murder Droid action = hit!
I find the obligatory ‘sexual’ aspect of shows usually provides ZERO value. I can find that on the interwebs, I don’t need it in Star Wars.
Why does every Mandalorian have to have an unceremonious death…or apparent death.
Boba…Jango….Rook…the list goes on.
Here I come!!….and dead.
Aayla Secura and originally Quinlan Vos until Lucas later said he was actually a background character in TPM.
You could also throw Thrawn in that mix. Books and comics before he showed up in Rebels.
Cobb Vanth also appeared in the canon Aftermath novel before BoBF
Ah, Thrawn…yes, that’s a big one.
Btw…. In case this Devin turns into a major sith character going forward (I can see her being developed more in comics beyond season 2) and it’s not Talon, might be good to snag her first appearance…I assume shes on the Darth Maul series that’s currently running.
eBay seems mostly cleared out.
This book is a 1:10 variant. I don’t think she’s in the book…so may just be a cover. But found a couple copies cheap in line and grabbed them.
Book comes out next week.
Fyi, the retailer on the bottom of the list is one of my LCS. Always lists ratio books for triple ratio
This is looking to be a good grab for anyone in shops today.
She does not appear in the story. I looked it over for spoiler purposes.
It’s not needed. A first cover appearance might be her only comic key based on how they don’t often use new characters across mediums.
I’m not sure she will next issue either. The cover may be the book unless they make the first season into a comic like the Mandalorian.
FOMO driven.
Price will fall.
Star Wars spec is dead. There are plenty of 1st appearances you can buy, for less.
