The sequel trilogy was made by looking at random concept art and trying to mush it together into a story, with no full plan from start to finish…… and it showed badly. I love Star Wars and I cannot watch those movies ever again. What idiots bring back Mark, Carrie, and Harrison and then never have them all interact together at the same time on screen? Blown opportunity with the story. Elements of the sequel trilogy could have worked to progress the story to a new generation of heroes from the old, without being the Disney disaster we got instead.
If an X-Wing with Death Blossom abilities could take down Xur and the Kodan Armada, it could surely take out the next version of the Empire.
It is obviously better storytelling for him to to totally refuse to help then suicide as an illusion at the last minute after most have died of course. That movie had so many terribad plotholes and mischaracterizations. Not to mention a totally cringe abrupt kissing scene with zero chemistry or logic.
Just leave skywalkers out of it.
