Starwars.com and Marvel have released a preview for next week’s High Republic #8! The story opens on Sskeer, teamed up with the Hutt cartels, to fight the Drengir on the world of Mulita in Wild Space. And who is along for the fight? Jedi Master Cohmac Vitus and Reath Silas! Cohmac Vitus hasn’t made any prior comic appearance yet, making this his first appearance. Reath Silas made a single panel, unnamed cameo without dialogue in High Republic #4. If he is featured more in this issue, this could be his first full appearance! The Anindito Cover B is also Myarga the Benevolent’s (Hutt) first cover appearance! Myarga made her first cameo in High Republic #4 and first full appearance in High Republic #5.

Also, any 1st appearances or anything like that in HRA 8? Not sure if I should try and grab the 1:10 incentive or not.

I guess it’s possible they are the same, but in the same way that anything is possible. The article itself says that they would have to eliminate Plagueis’ species as Muun (a species with an elongated upper head and skinny, elongated, body and appendages. If they are going to go that far, why not just make him a new Sith Lord?
They also have to wrestle with the fact that Mace Windu states in the Prequels that they haven’t seen a Sith in what 1,000 years? Even Plagueis was only known to be Sith by his master and his apprentice (Palpatine).
Honestly, it would be kind of a clumsy way to go about things and I would hope the think tank behind project luminous have something a little more creative than that.

Oops, I should have typed out High Republic Adventures 8 rather than abbreviate it. Def saw the info on HR 8, but wasn’t sure about HRA 8. Was wondering before FOC ends tomorrow if I should grab a few extra and the 1:10.
Ahh makes sense that that doesn’t make sense, haha. Just a random article I stumbled on with a rumor I hadn’t heard a thing about and figured you would be the one to ask.
The solicit for High Republic Adventures 8 does not hint at any new characters. One interesting aspect of the issue, though, is the fact that the Nihil will return to Takodana. This is where Takodana Castle, or Maz Kanata’s cantina, is located. We could get some interesting history about the castle.
The Smuggler’s Guide book says that it was once stationed by the Jedi, with Jedi catacombs and was the location of a battle between the Jedi and the Sith. Unlikely that part will happen, but I bet Marchion Ro is looking for more Jedi artifacts.
Maz also came into ownership of the castle a Millenium before the Force Awakens, so she will probably pop up too. Also, remember we were promised Deva Lompop from WOBH Jabba the Hutt would show up in High Republic. Might be here. 
Takodana Castle is a safe haven for all to congregate, bounty hunters included.
