There are too many of these and they ALL have Boba Fett. Im staying away from them. Ill just buy Cover A for the read. Ill buy the action figure cover because its cool. All for far less than any of these store variants.
It always holds true if you can’t decide on which cover to buy… just go with Cover A!
Ive learned my lesson.
I think in this case it’s tied between A and JTC action figure. But yes, the maxim holds true.
Since we’re post-FOC, if anyone wants the action figure cover, here’s a cheap option on eBay:
Is that bounty Hunter from Star Wars 16 expected to be in this story line? If so, I think I have some copies and want to be ready to sell!
Yes. Beilert Valance. He also first appears in canon in Solo: A Star Wars Story #1 (unnamed cameo before an explosion ends the conversation), then identified by his cadet number in Han Solo Imperial Cadet 1, then identified as Beilert in 3, as Valance in 4, and the origins of his cybernetics occur in issues 4-5.
Star Wars 16 is his first appearance for sure. It’s non-canon though. People probably won’t care about that and it will be the winner book in the long run.
However, if people are looking for runner-up speculation books Star Wars 27 (1977 series) (second Valance appearance), Solo 1 , Imperial Cadet 1,3,4, and 5 are good bets.
Got you. its funny the Solo book he isnt even mentioned when google it. But I’ll take your word but I do know Key Collector will set the tone and the non canon book will be a go because same as the darkhorse books being non canon but people seek them out.
Solo 1 is barely worth mentioning. Han says “V…” then a bomb blows up, but Valance was on Mimban in canon:
Here’s Imperial Cadet 1, Beilert valance is Cadet 404-913:
And issue 3 uses the name Valance:
Issue 4/5 he gets his cybernetics:
Man… you know everything about Star Wars. You would win Star Wars Jeopardy if there was such a thing. Thanks!
Right @MisfitNJ? This dude @drunkwooky knows his ish. Dammit why most Star Wars characters there is no definitive 1st
Well, I’m building a database of this stuff and reading all the issues myself to verify all the info, so it kind of comes with the territory. Repeat something enough and some info will stick.
I think SW 16 is a definitive first. I was just making a canon/non-canon distinction for back-up spec.
Does anyone think the TFAW exclusive will be worth getting to flip?
I think it depends on the print run. There are sooooo many covers already, it has a ton of competition.
Is he a chess piece?
