I created this to show the sometimes not so nice side of buying collections. It isn’t always key after key, there is the drek monster that shows up. I’m not talking about Dark Hawk #1 but REAL drek. Here’s an example from a collection I just bought. Why in the world would a shop buy 200 copies of Camelot 3000 #10??? I’m left with kindling for a fire at this point.
Imagine if this stack was all Batman Adventures 12 in the condition that you presented…
Yea love that. I was searching through an an antique/junk shop about a month ago and they had a bunch of comics, I found one box sealed way in the back. Had never been opened, I was terribly excited. I ripped open the tape and the entire box was full of… Deathmate Prologue… LOL, I should take a pic if I go back there. All though if anyone is looking for a 9.8 candidate I know where to go.
This was quite popular and the time. One of the first to prestige format titles, but the hyp dropped off at issue 10
I would assume most bulk collection buys are 99% drek.
I would never consider Dark Hawk #1 drek, though.
Turok #1 is probably the most common book I see in collections. And so many time I see price tags of $10 or more on them.
This is the kind of 90s drek youd see in comic packs at Dollar General back in the late 90s…
Not even tempted to send to CGC for pre-screen 10.0 to be the only one on census?
